The Friends of the Library will present a program on preparing for Y2K by Lisa Fisher on Friday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. in the library. Lisa Fisher is the owner of Fisher Financial Services, Inc. in Pleasant Grove and has been working in small business counseling, financial services and income taxes for over eight years. Fisher is an experienced financial lecturer and enjoys helping people discover their personal power in the financial arena. "Y2K is turning out to be one of the most non-events," said Fisher. "They don't expect any major meitaowns. ineir only concerns nationwide are small pockets." Nonetheless, Fisher explained that it doesn't hurt to be prepared. "My main thing is just to get people ready, just in case," she shared. "Just to calm people's fears and to (encourage them to) have a three day supply, sup-ply, just in case." A big part of being prepared is taking care of and securing personal finances. "I will probably prob-ably talk about the financial market and what the experts are saying, because that's my area," Fisher added.
