The FFA presented proficiency awards to seven individuals: Clint Hardy, dairy; John Christiansen, landscape management and Turf grass management; Dondy Morrell, fruit andor vegetable production Cassidy Salmond, specialty animal production for raising her two chinchillas. Megan Proctor won small animal care; and Nathan Shepherd won forage production. They gave their state Greenhand Award to Sarah Turner for being the most active firstyearmemberinthe chapter. Kayla Knaeble won the Star Chapter FFA Degree for being outstanding in SAE production. She also demonstrated the most involvement in chapter activities. Last, but not least, the Deklab Award went to Dondy Morrell. The five senior officers gave retiring addresses. They were Nathan Shepherd, Taylor Chynoweth, Marianne Broome, John Christiansen and Dondy Morrell. They also reported that they have added three more people to the Honorary Chapter. They are George Durfee, Dewayne Erdman and Steve Sanderson. They also recognized the new Officer Team, which includes 10 new officers this year. They are, Misti Sabin, sentinel; Megan Proctor, reporter; Amie Wright, secretary; Bridget Henridsen, treasurer; Cassidy Salmond, historian; Emily Neeley, SAE careers and awareness; Danny Engle, cooperative and community service; Nick Kagie, participation for state, national and international recreation; Jeremy Howard, vice president; and Kayle Knaeble, president for the 1999-2000 year. 3.3: Locky Mountain Elementary wheelbarrow race, crab-walk .
