She took in her home and loved 'bating her surroundings in vn unique style. ;Mnit summer she and Glenn liable to celebrate her gold-.jdding gold-.jdding anniversary with Sara Oneal Jacklin Roylance her family in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many leadership positions in all the organizations. We will miss her sense of humor and her ability to make the best of life. She loved her grandchildren unconditionally and made each one feel special in their own way. She was specially spe-cially proud of her oldest six grandsons who have served or are serving LDS Missions. She is survived by her hus: band Glenn, daughters: Sharon (Alan) Banks and Jann (Lewis) Bankhead; her son, Mark (Nancy) Miller; her sisters: Janet (Kent) Anderson and Diane (Sterling) Brereton, and fifteen grandchildren who loved her dearl'. Funeral services were held Monday, April 5, in the Orem Third Ward Chapel. He married Bonnie Schlundt on September j.947. They were later ;:ed. grew up and attended s.rls in Boulder, Utah. He ';d in the Army during ft X J World War II, in the Pacific Theater, and earned the Purple Heart. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much time hunting and camping. He is survived by three daughters and one son: Ev (Alan) Carter, American Fork; Richard Berdell Thompson, Kansas City, Kansas; Debbie (Randy) Lloyd, Pleasant Grove; and Sue Ann Thompson, Richfield; 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include sisters: Loretta Alvey and Edna Haycock. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters: Shelly and Robin Carter. In accordance with Dell's wishes, a private interment with immediate family was held at Boulder, Utah. Ming card of thanks Sara Oneal Jacklin Roylance, age 92, died April 4, 1999. She was born September 17, 1906 in American Fork, Utah to John and Martha Oneal Jacklin. She married Earl Nelson Roylance on February 16, 1927. Their marriage was later solomnized in the LDS Provo Temple. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1977. Sara was active in the LDS Church and enjoyed Relief Society. She was an expert at all types of needlecraft, sewing (including professional) , teaching teach-ing tatting, knitting, and crocheting. cro-cheting. She was a member of Henry Hoopes Henry Warner Hoopes, age 82 of American Fork, Utah, died April 5, 1999 at the American Fork Hospital following fol-lowing a short illness. He was born August 2, 1916 in Monroe, Utah to Henry Warner and Pearl Robison Hoopes. He married mar-ried Elizabeth Simmons on October 9, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Henry was an electrical engineer for Westinghouse with the Atomic Energy Commission. He has resided in Monroe, UT.; McGill, NV.; Pittsburgh, PA.; New York, NY.; Cincinnatti, OH.; Boise, Idaho Falls, and Blackfoot, ID.; and American Fork. He was a member mem-ber of the LDS Church having served in the Mutual, as a bish- The Daughters of Utah pioneers and enjoyed gardening. Sara is survived by a son, Kenneth Roylance of West Valley, Utah; two daughters, Beth Gammon of American Fork, and Ann Kay Hannis of Denver, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, broth-er, Ernest Jacklin of American Fork; and two sisters, Edith West of Pleasant Grove and Mary Gooch of Lehi. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. at the Freedom 2nd Ward, 888 South Freedom Blvd., Provo. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 E. Center, Provo, or one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Springville Evergreen Cemetery. op, a high councilor, high priest group leader, 18 years as a temple tem-ple worker, and served missions mis-sions in the Northwestern States and Boston, Mass. Survived by his wife of American Fork; 4 daughters, Sharon Thompson (Richard) Williams, Blackfoot, ID.; Helen Hoopes, American Fork; Barbara (Michael) Bailey, Lehi; Judy (Bert) Winegar, Bountiful; 30 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; brother, Dwight R. Hoopes, St. George. He was preceded in death by his parents; par-ents; a sister, Sylvia Johnson; and a brother, Stanley Riddle. Funeral services will be Friday, April 9, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hillcrest First Ward LDS Chapel, 939 No. 530 W, American Fork. Friends may call Thursday evening 6:30-8:30 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and at the church Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
