Annie Jr. is the licensed children's version of the well-known well-known Broadway musical. Annie is raised in a drab New York orphanage but knows she has parents somewhere and dreams that they will come back for her. Then she is chosen to visit Mr. Warbucks, a billionaire, for Christmas, and she begins to see the world outside the orphanage. The world becomes complicated suddenly when hundreds' of people, including Mr. Warbucks, want Annie for their daughter. Annie is charming, the orphans are playful, the villains are scheming, and the heroes are caught up in Annie s innocent spell. Plenty of singing and dancing, period costumes and talented kids tell the story beautifully. Most of .the children performing the musical had little or no experience before rehearsals started in January. Four complete casts have been training, with professionals in voice, dance, acting and backstage technical skills. Besides acting in all the roles, children run the spotlight, lighting board, sound board and wireless microphones. They designed, built and change the sets. Eighty percent of the children in this year's cast are receiving scholarships from work or ticket sales to help cover costs. For tickets, call 226-9073 and press 2 . Prices are $4 for adults, $2 jor children ages 4 to 12; and $10 for children under 4. 1 HC - 11 : j trove A i Support the Vikings ill 1 anila plans book fair The Manila PTA would like to invite everyone to their Book Fair.
