Five students also placed nationally in their respective categories: Joseph Wangemann (9th grade) took third place on the Spanish II level, Sean Aaron (7th grade) and Rafel Vecchi (8th grade) took third place on the Spanish II level, Cendy Bedolla (8th grade) took first place on the Spanish III level, Caitlin Sargent (8th grade) took second place on the Spanish III level, Andrew Maynez (9th grade) and Jonathan Ogden (8th grade) took third place on the Spanish III level, and Ryan Sandberg (9th grade) took second place on the Spanish IV level. Richard Tate, President of the AATSP-the organization that sponsors the competition, competi-tion, said that this is the first time that any student in Utah has placed nationally on the test. Mrs. Sillito said, "We are very proud of all our Spanish students who participated in this competition.
