Heimuli led all scorers with 15 points and not only scored the first two points in the new Tiger Fieldhouse but scored the first seven. Orem suffocated Timpanogos's guards with an effective press. The T-Wolves T-Wolves committed 14 turnovers and only took 15 shots in the first half. Timpanogos finally managed man-aged to score a field goal with 5:23 remained in the half but by then the rout was on. "If we would've done anything any-thing in the first half, we could have at least been competitive," Timpanogos coach Robert Louder said. "We've got to decide to come out and play hard from the start." Orem was not immune to turnovers either. They finished fin-ished the game with 21 after committing 12 in the fourth quarter alone. The T-Wolves T-Wolves finished with 24. The leading scorers for each team was held in check by opposing defenses. Orem's Tiffany Peterson failed to reach double-figure scoring for the first time this season. She shot 3-of-13 from the field, managing eight points. Timpanogos's Brynne Nelson managed 11 points but it required 15 shots as she finished the game at 33-percent 33-percent shooting. Heather Keith's play in the third quarter sealed the victory. She scored seven of her 12 points in the period as the Tigers opened up a 23-point lead. Timpanogos tried to rally in the fourth and outscored Orem by 10 points in the quarter but the hole the Wolves dug was too deep. Tiffany Peterson recorded record-ed the first assist, steal and rebound in a varsity game in the Tiger Fieldhouse. Marsha Heimuli not only scored the first points in Orem's new gym but scored the first seven as she outscored Timpanogos all by herself in the first quarter. As everyone watched, it became apparent that two people were not paying pay-ing attention to the action of the court-the officials. Then wrestled their way to Lone Peak and finished fin-ished the week at the State Duals in Salt Lake. At Lehi they performed well enough to win, but gave away (forfeit) (for-feit) two weight levels at 103 and 215. The final score of the meet was 43-45 for Lehi. Winners in this contest con-test for Mountain View were Ryan Borg, Todd Robbins, Jeff Allen, Matt Sillito, and Mitch Greene all scoring with pins( all pins score 6 team points). Also winning was Isa Takahashi who won on a technical decision deci-sion giving the team another anoth-er 5 points. Lehi picked up 6 points from four of their wrestlers, Landon Roseman, Tyson Thompson, Tyler Toomey, and Josh Macintosh. Mike Robbins scored a major decision adding 4 points. Then Rodney Sager won a 5-3 decision to gain three team points. On Thursday, the Bruins squared off with the Knights of Lone Peak. Each team scoring 37 points and ending in a tie. The next afternoon the team traveled to Salt Lake to compete in the State Duals Tournament. They won their first match against Roy. They then faced Box Elder and lost. Their final match Friday was against Bountiful, winning win-ning again. Fridays results helped the tournament committee com-mittee seat the double-elimination rounds that started early Saturday morning. Saturday, the Bruins got off to a slow start losing their first match to Olympus, this however put them in a position that the best they could do was a ninth place overall Finnish despite the fact they won their next three matches. Their next opponents was the same Box Elder team that beat them the day before. The team really came together in that match and won all but one match and the two give away. The Bruins then took on Springville and won 42-30.
