ALPINE HIGHLAND CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - On Feb. 4, police were dispatched to a home under construction in Highland that had been vandalized. vandal-ized. The vandals had broken tiles by hitting the box they were in with a blunt object, sprayed an oil-based aerosol spray on the interior walls and doors, a microwave micro-wave had been thrown on the floor and a plastic tile paste had been smeared on the floor, walls and door of an upstairs bedroom. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - Police, on Feb. 2, arrested a 20 year old man from Salt Lake City on charges of possession pos-session of marijuana and paraphernalia para-phernalia after he was stopped for a traffic violation in Alpine. Police officers detected a strong scent of burnt marijuana inside the vehicle, and the suspect admitted to the officers he had drugs and paraphernalia on his person and in the vehicle. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - Police are investigating the vandalism of Alpine City Property at several different locations in the city on Feb. 20. Restrooms and cement barriers at city parks had been spray painted with graffiti and pictures, and several picnic tables and benches had been moved from pavilions and damaged. CEDAR FORT ABANDONED VEHICLE - A landowner reported that a vehicle had been abandoned oh his private pri-vate property. An officer located the vehicle and tagged it. The vehicle ve-hicle will be removed in one week if the owner does not return and reclaim it. EAGLE MOUNTAIN TRAFFIC VIOLATION - A deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on S.R. 73 on Feb. 21. The driver had never obtained a driver's license. He also had two outstanding warrants. He was arrested and booked into Utah County Jail on the warrants and also charged with the traffic violations. vio-lations. SUBSTANCE ABUSE - Of ficers responded to a residence in the Ranches on an intoxication intoxica-tion call, and found a man who had been abusing psycho-toxic drugs. The man was cited and re leased to his parents and advised to seek rehabilitation. FAIRFIELD VEHICLE THEFT - The theft of a 1995 blue Chevrolet sports van was reported to police and referred re-ferred to detectives. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call dispatch at 851-4100. LEIII DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - Two men were cited on Feb. 13 with domestic violence in the presence pres-ence of children, intoxication and criminal mischief. TRAFFIC VIOLENCE - On Feb. 12 a man was stopped and cited for driving on a denied drivers license, li-cense, no insurance and revoked registration. The vehicle was impounded. WARRANT - A man was booked into the Utah County jail on Feb. 10 on a warrant and cited for passing In a no passing zone and possession of drug paraphernalia. parapher-nalia. TRAFFIC OFFENSE A Juvenile Juve-nile boy was cited on Feb. 10 with no driver's license (failed test) and driving with a passenger while being under 16 12 years old. He was cited into Juvenile Court. MEDICAL ASSIST - Officers assisted Emergency Medical technicians on Feb. 10 with a 29-year-old woman who had fallen twice. TRAFFIC OFFENSE - A man was cited on Feb. 16 for speeding, speed-ing, expired registration, and no insurance. The vehicle was impounded. TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - A vehicle ve-hicle stopped because of car trouble trou-ble on Feb. 15. The car started on fire. No one was injured. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A male was booked into the Utah County jail on Feb. 15 on possession of another's an-other's identification, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, possession of cocaine, co-caine, possession of marijuana, and illegal consumptionpossession consumptionposses-sion of alcohol by a minor. PLEASANT GROVE ASSAULT - Police responded to local business on a assault call on Feb. 22. The victim was taken to the hospital. BURGLARY -A residential burglary was reported on Feb, 19. Stolen were two DVDCD cases, a DeWalt drill, fanny pack, Old Timer Tim-er knife, MP3 player, Paintchlp Farm & Implement paint, Social Security card, checkbook, prescribed pre-scribed Lortab, birth certificate. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - On Feb. 21, six juvenile boys were arrested for criminal mischief charges regarding graffiti on six buildings. It was also determined they had been involved in other incidents. Five additional reports of graffiti were also received the same day. Another report of graffiti graf-fiti was investigated on Feb. 19. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - While assisting other officers on an assault as-sault detail on Feb. 23, a woman whose vehicle window was broken bro-ken out was located. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - Two juveniles were cited for criminal mischief on Feb. 18 for toilet papering the trees in a church parking lot. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - On Feb. 18, a traffic traf-fic stop was made on a vehicle for failure to operate in a single lane when it crossed the double line at 700 South Pleasant Grove Blvd. Two individuals were arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A report of a theft involving an individual stealing property and pawning it was responded to on Feb. 20. The suspect was located and placed under arrest. The suspect was searched incident to arrest and drugs and paraphernalia were located lo-cated on him. He was booked into the Utah County jail. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - Warrant service on Feb. 23 resulted in the arrest of a man. The man was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and was released from custody after posting bond on a local warrant. ALCOHOL PROBLEM - On Feb, 24, officers made contact with a man who appeared to be intoxicated and was jaywalking at Center and 100 East. WARRANT - On Feb. 23, a man was observed smoking a cigarette. ciga-rette. He then littered by throwing throw-ing the lighted cigarette on the ground. He was arrested. SARATOGA SPRINGS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - The driver of an SUV lost control of her vehicle on an icy road and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. vehi-cle. The SUV slid off the road and into a ditch.
