"We are out of water,,'" he said.-"'No said.-"'No matter what the solution is, .it is expensive. Water wit cost more in the very near future." fldhn Sdhiess from Horrocks Engineers En-gineers presented some options to the counci at a W'ork session, with an analysis of (he current water sources and usage project ions. He compared the gallons per rniraute used to the sources available atid found a shortage. "In you crossed that Mue line," he said explaining a graph showing the comparisons. 'Legally you are out of capacity. The reason you are OK is because off favorable weather patterns." Sdhiess outlined an additional problem with the city's water storage. stor-age. "In two years the city wil be out of storage capacity," he said. The City Council asked Horrocks Hor-rocks to analyze opt kms to provide additional water for growth of the community. They were to look at both culinary and irrigation water. Counci rnembers selected four options for further study and discussion dis-cussion at the Apri 6 work session. Horrocks representatives will give a detailed look at using culinary culi-nary water with weEs and a treatment treat-ment plant, culinary water with a full secondary system, or two options with culinary water and a secondary irrigation system for areas south of State Street or south of the freeway. Horrocks wiM also consider the latter alternatives with am opt ion of kxdktding large lusers snadfo as the cemetery and city parks. Previous studies had considered either a full secondary system or a "trunk" opiiwn with those major users and surrounding properties included. The Horrocks representatives gave initial findings about various vari-ous sources the city could use for its water or ways to maximize it .
