That portion of the construction has been completed As required by the guidelines for the preparation ol environmental impact statements (E IS), an environmental review has been performed on Phase 2 of the proposed State of Utah, Drinking Drink-ing Water Board action identified as Proiect Office l ocation Proiect Number Total Estimated Cost StateLocal Share (SRF) Loan. $380,000 Local Share The proposed proiect is needed in order for Pleasant Grove City to replace approximately one mile of undersized lead joint water lines with 8-inch ductile duc-tile iron pipe and drill a new well The City's master plan projects that they will have an inadequate water supply by the year 2005 They will also install state mandated system appurtenances including flow meters and pressure gages at various sources, casing modification at Monson well, and spring box upgrade at Blue Creek This will bring the City into compliance with new drinking water standards and to continue to meet the growing need for additional addi-tional water caused by growth and development Phase 2 consists of drilling and equipping a culinary water supply well located m the northeast corner of Section 28 of the southwest corner ol Section Sec-tion 21. Township 5 South, Range 2 East, SLB&M. An Environmental Assessment has been made of the proiect areas. The review process indicated that no significant environmental impacts would result from the proposed action. Consequently, a preliminary decision has been made not to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS). The determination has been made on the basis that the area is highly disturbed by previous construction of houses, roads, utilities and other infrastructure, and other human activities, and after a careful review of the enginee ing reports environmental information documents, and other supporting information infor-mation The documents are on file and available for public review at the Division Divi-sion of Drinking Water at the above address and at the address shown above tor the Company Office Questions may also be directed to Kenneth Wilde, PE.
