"We cover all types of dancing and put it together with musical theatre" said Melissa Higley, dance instructor at the academy. "Dancing for dummies, that want to have fun." said Gayliene Omary, owner of The Grove Theatre Academy. Acade-my. Classes are offered for all ages, including Itty Bitty Dance, ages 3 to 5, Kiddy Dance ages 6 to 9, Allotta Dance ages 10 to 13 and High Dance ages 14 to 18. There are classes for adults as well. The dance classes run for one hour, longer for the older classes all styles of dance are put together to musical or movie themes. Transportation open house is set The annual Utah Valley Transportation and Community Com-munity Planning open house will be held Wednesday, Wednes-day, Oct. 22, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Orem Senior Friendship Center, 93 N. 400 East, Orem. Mountainlands Association Associa-tion of Governments invites aea residents to participate with Utah County cities, Utah Department of Transportation, Trans-portation, and Utah Transit Authority. Utah County transportation transporta-tion and community planners plan-ners will be present to answer questions and take your comments. There will be displays on general plans, upcoming road projects, zoning and transportation maps, trail information, and new com mercial and residential development proposals. Mountainland representatives represen-tatives would like to know ideas and comments from the public for the Utah Valley Val-ley Insight Workshop (where they would like future transportation corridors); corri-dors); Utah Valley Transportation Trans-portation Improvement Program; bike lanes, shared use paths, and trails; air quality; congestion management; manage-ment; and intelligent transportation trans-portation system (message signs, signal coordination, etc.) Transportation officials from UDOT will be available avail-able to discuss present and future road projects and the status of major highway projects, such as US-6 through Spanish Fork Canyon. UTA representatives will be on hand to answer questions ques-tions about the Utah County Coun-ty Transit System, park and ride lot information and the rideshare program. The public's suggestions and ideas from last year's open house were used to improve community and regional plans.. Residents can improve the quality of life in the valley val-ley and help mold the future look of your community commu-nity and our region by participating par-ticipating in this year's open house. The public may come out and learn how the various transportation and corrnu-nity corrnu-nity planning pieces fit together to make Utah Valley Val-ley a great place to live.
