II II I ! I ... I N r The public is invited to the American Fork High School Wind Symphony and Percussion Ensemble performing their "Premier Concert." The free concert will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, in the auditorium of the high school, 510 N. 600 East. Following the concert, there will be a small reception recep-tion in the commons area. Selections from the concert con-cert will be performed by the band at the Bands of America National Concert and Percussion Festival in Indianapolis next week. Members of the symphony sympho-ny and percussion group have been preparing for the festival for several months. "These students have been working very hard," said director John Miller. "The plans are coming together, and we hope to put on a great performance for the home crowd as well as the national audience in Indianapolis." At the festival, the students stu-dents will attend workshops work-shops with some of the most prominent musicians. They will receive feedback after each performance. Those who would like to make donations to help the students finance their trip may contribute at the concert con-cert or contact Band Booster Boost-er President Jocelyn Parmer at 756-4761 for information on a tax deductible donation. AF Library plans registration for preschool program Registration is continuing continu-ing for the American Fork Public Library preschool program, "Under the Reading Read-ing Tree." Children 3 to 5 years old may sign up for the free program through March 8. It will be in nine half-hour activities. There will be sessions Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Registration is required so no activity session ses-sion will have too many children attending. Parents are asked to stay in the library during the activities to help with problems and discipline. All will be held at the library, 64 S. 100 East.
