He is a member of the Highland 16th Ward, Troop 5120. When Ryan heard of the fire that damaged 2,000 books at Highland Elementary, he saw an opportunity for service. For his Eagle service project, he headed up a group to stamp, label and prepare computer card file indexes for new books to put on the shelf.
