Rebecca Turner will marry in Manti Temple Mr. and Mrs. Roger Turner of Lehi are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca, to John Harmston, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Harmston of Palmyra, N.Y. The couple will exchange vows in the Manti LDS Temple on Aug. 6. The newlyweds will be honored hon-ored at a reception that evening from 7 to 9 at the Lehi South Stake Center, 500 W. 600 South. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The couple will make their first home in Orem. Sheltons mark 50th anniversary William "Bud" and Bessie Shelton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise last week. They will be honored at a family gathering on Saturday, Aug. 7. .Bud and Bessie were married mar-ried Aug. 2, 1939. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Having experienced the Great Depression as young people, peo-ple, they learned the value of a strong work ethic and have passed that teaching on to their children and grandchildren. Bud served in the Navy during dur-ing World War II. He then worked in various mining operations, oper-ations, including mines in American Fork and Mercur. He worked at Geneva for 23 years before retiring in 1977. From his work experience he acquired special mechanical talent and willingly shares that with his family. He enjoys camping, fishing and traveling. Bud is a high priest and has served in many priesthood callings.
