The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported that Utah bees produced 1,363.000 pounds of honey which represents a 29 peicent decrease from the 1975 high of 1,932,000 pounds. The average price for honey this year is 50.2 cents per pound compared to the 1975 price of 57.2 cents. BYU - Emmy Award winning director Tad Danielewski will direct Arthur Miller's classic drama "Death of a Salesman," according to the Department of Theater and Dramatic Arts at BYU. The play will feature Dr. Harold 1. Hansen in the leading role of the tragic character Willy Loman, and stage veteran Cullimore Faux will appear as Willy's wife. The play will run from Feb. 17-19, 22-26, and Mar. 1-5. SALT LAKE CITY - Garbage pickup is free in Salt Lake City - that is, if you are one of the 183 churches recently okayed for the service by the city commission. The commission decided to offer the service despite the fact that the churches do not pay property taxes. HENEFER- Utah State Representative Edison Stephens of Henefer recently asked the Utah Legislature to put pig and chicken thieves in the same category as horse and cattle rustlers. The present law requires the theft of more than $250 worth of swine or poultry before the crime is considered a felony. OR EM - A former Orem City electrical inspector and his 21 year-old daughter have been arraigned in federal court on charges of counterfeiting Federal Reserve notes. John Thornton Richardson, 56, and his daughter were accused ac-cused of preparing to counterfeit $20 bills. Orem City Police and U.S. Secret Service agents confiscated $5.5 million in bogus bills when hunters on the west side of Utah Lake reported finding bills that had been printed only on one side. Thomas of American Fork is one of several nominees for two of the nation's military academies, the Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy. Mr. Thomas is currently a student at American Fork High School. PROVO - The 15 year-old Riverside Plaza has a new owner. Price Industries Corporation of Salt Lake City bought the shopping center for a price that could go as high as $2 million. The center has been financially troubled in recent years when the Grant department store closed. Tanner, Utah Tech librarian who will be director of the new Learning Resources Center and Library, the structure will be built on four levels utilizing the slope of the hillside northeast north-east of the Business Building. It will have about 40,000 square feet (by comparison the Business Building has about 60,000) and will provide modern library and learning resource facilities for the college. col-lege.
