THREE HONORED AT BRUNCH ON SUNDAY There were three honored guests when Mel and Lois Prit-chett Prit-chett entertained at brunch In the Antique Room at the Riverside River-side Country Club Sunday, Nov, 5th. They were grandson, Curtis King, son of Stanford and Connie King who returned Tuesday, Oct. 31, from a Southwest Indian Mission; Mis-sion; the Pritchett's son Michael Mich-ael and his daughter, Laura, from Springville, who celebrate their joint birthdays on November Nov-ember 3. Other guests were Patricia, Bruce and Steven Pritchett of Springville; Stanford, Connie and Cory King, Don and Kathy Humphries, Hum-phries, Vicki Alexander, Jarold and Marvel Sunderland, all of American Fork; and Sanders and Ruby Pritchett of Provo. Stanford and Connie King along with Cory, met Curtis at Kay-enta, Kay-enta, Arizona and spent a few days touring the mission. He will report on his mission on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 2:45 p.m. in the Eiehth Ward. AmWonK,rv AF Gandy Stripers Present Geler Godo Aids to Hospital Color code stickers to aid staff members and visitors in the correct cor-rect procedures when isolation of a patient is necessary has been presented to the American Fork Hospital by members of the Candystripers organization. The color code cards are made so that they may be placed on the door to the patients room and tell what procedures must be carried out in the case of isolation for enteric precautions, protective isolation, respiratory isolation, strict isolation and wound and skin precautions. Types of diseases dis-eases that fall In each category are also defined on the cards. Hospital officials said ten sets of the color code cards were given to the hospital for use in the various wards where needed. Jones as a member. She is a graduate of American Fork High School and her guardians are Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Martin of Am. Fork. The band appears for all home games and each year travels with the team to one out of state game. This year the band appeared in Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho for the game between Weber State College and Boise State College. The band is under the direction of Don Threlkeld and assistant assis-tant conductor, James Beckham. At 7:15 p.m. the group will meet at the junior high school parking lot. Then from there they will tour, historical sites throughout American Fork and Alpine. At 8:30 p.m. they will convene at the Senior Citizen Center where Mr. anc1. Mrs. Del-bert Del-bert Chipman will speak on interesting in-teresting and historical facts about American Fork and this area. The day is being planned in keeping with Thanksgiving as a special activity. While in high school, she participated in various clubs and activities, serving as vice president of the GAA and on the Yearbook Staff for two years. Since graduation she has attended Utah Technical College with an emphasis in psychology. psy-chology. The past four years she has been working with the elderly and handicapped. She is presently a Sunday School teacher. Gene is a graduate of MacKay High School in Idaho, where he was student body president, let-terman let-terman and all star basketball player. He attended University of Utah and Moscow University in Idaho. Gene served in Germany with the US Army. All friends and relatives are invited to attend 7 to 9 p.m. Litaiore League Meets at Pugh Home The Litaiore League held its November meeting at the home of Marie Pugh earlier this week. To lend a helping hand was co-hostess co-hostess Judy Robinson. Mrs. Audra Moss was the guest speaker who gave an interesting and informative talk about child creativity. She gave some wonderful won-derful ideas on how to cope with the problems that raise with children as they grow and dev-elope dev-elope while doing it in a delight- The Make it Yourself with wool competition, District Seven, which includes Lehi, American Fork and PL Grove will be held November 27, 1972 at the Am. Fork High School. The girls will register at 3:15 p.m. and judging will start at 3:30. The judging will be closed to the public, but later at 7:30 p.m. the public is invited to attend at-tend the fashion show. This will be held in the little theater at the Am. Fork High School and at this time the winners will be announced. These winners will represent District Seven at the state contest which will be held on December 7, in Salt Lake City. The winners at the state contest will go on to the Nationals Na-tionals which will be in Washington Wash-ington D.C. on January 23, 1972. Each girl must make and model their own garment, selecting the fabric, pattern, and accessories. All fabrics used must be made of 100 percent wool, loomed or spun in America. Jullee Mathews, a freshman student from American Fork, was selected to reign over Dixie College Col-lege Homecoming Activities this week. The new queon and hsr two attendants were selected from a group of eight finalists competing in the annual Miss Dixie College Homecoming Queen Contest held last Monday evening in the Dixie Fine Arts Center. For her talent number in the contest, Miss Mathews presented pre-sented an original dramatic reading read-ing of "A Place In My Heart", accompanied by a recording of her playing "There's a Place for Us" on her flute. Miss Mathews says she plans on becoming a speech teacher and would like to teach high school. Her hobbies are reading, read-ing, and needle point, watching people and talking. She said she also likes snow skiing, horseback horse-back riding, walking and hiking. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Mathews of American Ameri-can Fork. Kathi Howard, a freshman student stu-dent from Enterprise, was selected selec-ted as first attendant to the queen. Miss Howard sang "Match Maker," from Fiddler On Tht Roof for her talent number. Second attendant is Miss Sheryll Nisson, a sophomore student stu-dent from Granada Hills, California. Cali-fornia. For her talent she sang a melody from "Goodbye Mr. Chips" and "Dr. Doolittle." The royalty will reign over all activities this week at Dixie College. Recently they were interviewed on KORK TV in Las Vegas, and were presented at the alumni assembly at the college. col-lege.
