Show J is I Charles Adams Alpine Citizens fao Third Interested citizens have petitioned peti-tioned to run a third party in Alpine. Charles Adams, Kyle Arnold, and Zenneth Chamberlain will be running on the Citizens' Party ticket. Kyle and Zenneth are new in political life while Charles has already served a six year term. Charles and Zenneth have resided re-sided in Alpine most of their lives and Kyle is relatively a new comer to the community. The three councilmen, whose term of office will expire at the end of the year, are James Holley, Walter Higley, and Charles Adams. Alpine Demos Alpine City Democrats met recently at a mass meeting held at the City Hall. Ross Burgess, chairman of the party, conducted conduc-ted as the party members elected elec-ted three candidates for council seats. Selected to run were David Winn Healey, Gene How-land, How-land, and Larry Patterson. DAVID WINN HEALEY Mr. Healey is a native of Alpine and has been active in community affairs. He attended school at the Alpine Al-pine Elementary and American Fork High School. He graduated gradu-ated with a BS Degree in the field of education at the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University and is presently working on a Master's degree in Educational Administration. Admin-istration. Mr. Healey is a member mem-ber of the Alpine Education Association, As-sociation, Utah Education Association, Asso-ciation, and is a life member of the National Education Association. Associa-tion. He has been a school teacher for the past 13 years. He has served the community as chairman for the Democratic Party of Alpine and as County Delegate. He was safety chairman chair-man for the Alpine Elementary PTA for two years and is at the present time a Hunter Safety Instructor. Mr. Healey served in the National Na-tional Guard as a Sgt. for six years in the 1457 Engineers 118 Dump Truck Co. He has been active in the LDS Church and has served in several se-veral positions, Sunday School teacher, Priesthood advisor, MIA teacher, Cubmaster, member of the Sunday School Board, Member Mem-ber of the Elder's Quorum Presidency, Pre-sidency, and at the present time he is serving as a home teacher and as Ward Librarian. Mr. Healey is married to the former Loraine Spencer and they have seven lovely children, Troy, Lael, Sharane, Valene, Richard, Catherine, and Rees. GENE HOWLAND Mr. Howland has been a resident re-sident of Alpine for eleven and a hall years. He lived in Kansas City, Missouri, most of his early years. He started working at an early age and has been a pressman for the past twenty-five years. He worked for the Kansas City Star for 17 years and is presently pre-sently employed by the Newspaper News-paper Agency Corp. in Salt Lake City. He has been active in the LDS Church and served in the Alpine Ward as Sunday School teacher, home teacher, and in the Sunday School Superintendency for five years. He was born and raised in Alpine Al-pine and ran a fruit farm here. He worked for the Utah Power and Light Company for 34 years and retired in 1969. He served as president of the Alpine Irrigation Ir-rigation Company for ten years and was also on the Board of Trustees for ten years. Mr. Adams is also an active member of the LDS Church. ZENNETH CHAMBERLAIN -Mr. Chamberlain was born in American Fork. He married Alta Dunsdon from Alpine and is the father of eight children. LARRY PATTERSON Mr. Patterson is also a native of Alpine. He attended the Alpine Al-pine Elementary School and graduated gra-duated from the American Fork High School. Kyle Arnold Party Geneva works, and served in the U S. Navy for six years during World War II. He has held several positions in the LDS Church, being active in the Boy Scout program, president of the Elders Quorum and is presently in the High Priests Quorum. KYLE ARNOLD- Mr. Arnold was born and raised in Cleveland, Cleve-land, Emery County, Utah. He graduated from the Emery High School, attended Carbon Jr. College Col-lege and Brigham Young University. Univer-sity. He was a volunteer fireman fire-man and policeman in Sandy. He is married to the former Mar-lene Mar-lene Wright of Sandy and they are the parents of four children. He is a member of the National Na-tional Guard and at the present time is a member of the United States Parachute Association. He has had a private pilot's license for five years and also participates partici-pates in SkubbaDivingasahobby. He is presently employed by his father Robert Patterson as an electrician and in business management. He is the son of Robert and Patricia Patterson of Alpine and he has three brothers and four sisters. larry Patterson 1 Malcolm Beck ; r. a Alpine Republicans Seek Council Posts The Republican Party of Alpine Al-pine nominated three men at their nominating convention held last Thursday evening at the Alpine City Hall. The men will run for a four-year city council-man post in the coming elections in November. Nov-ember. The men are: CALVIN A. PETERSON-Mr. Peterson Pe-terson was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He attended Snow College and graduated from Utah Technical College in Ar-chitectual Ar-chitectual Drafting. He has been a carpenter on both residential and industrial projects and was supervisor of Drafting and the Furniture Shop at the Utah State Prison before going into business for himself in Alpine.
