FHA Officers to Attend Leadership Conference Sept. 13 ' This" coming Saturday, September Sep-tember 13, all officers of the Fu ture Homemakers of America will attend a special leadership conference at the Brigham Young University. The purpose of the meeting is to outline club activities for the coming year and to exchange ideas. Officers attending will be Christine Christensen, president; pres-ident; Carolyn Priday, vice president; and Kathy Biggins, secretary. Also attending will be the new officers selected at a meeting held September 9. Selected as new officers were Charlotte Wagstaff, song leader; Kathy Thomas, historian; his-torian; and Kathleen Satchwell, activity leader. Senior Sen-ior offers urged students to participate and submit any suggestions sug-gestions for the hop. Suggestions should include a theme to base decoration and the assembly around, and a theme song to compliment the theme. Persons suggesting a scng should have a recording of the song tor the Senior meeting. Colors are also open for suggestion. A Senior meeting Is scheduled sched-uled for next week, but can be postponed if there is a l?ck of suggestions. Senior Hop co-chairman Nora McLachland and Robert Wood will present the suggestions to seniors at the class meeting. GAA Plans Tor Year's Activities Officers were elected for GAA in the first meeting of the year September 3, in the girls gym. Directing the year's activities are Susan Terry, president; Vickie Alexander, vice president; Diane Kaneko, secretary-treasurer; Arlene Smith, recorder and Karen Hansen, reporter. A second meeting was held Wednesday, September 10, to firm plans for upcoming events.. Selected as class managers were Sheri Buhler, senior; Peggy Cooper, junior; and Karen Carroll, Car-roll, sophomore. Miss Ardena Beck is adviser.
