L ti iz,m ONE INJURED CRITICALLY IN THIS ACCIDENT-A Salt Lake woman was Injured critically when this 4-Wheel drive unit rolled near Lehi. Her three-month old son received serious injuries. Both were transferred to Salt Lake Hospitals for treatment. This was one of two injary accidents occurring in North Utah County on Saturday. Woman Seriously in Lehi Accident A Salt Lake City mother and her Infant son were seriously injured in-jured Saturday when their pickup truck and camping trailer Jack-knifed Jack-knifed and overturned on 1-15 near here. Mrs. Betty Fehrenback, 43, was listed in poor condition with head Injuries at LDS Hospital at Salt Lake City. Her three-month-old son, William, sustained head lacerations. Uninjured were Mrs. Fehrenback' Fehren-back' s husband, Jack, 44, driver of the truck-camper; a son, Stephen, Ste-phen, nine, and a daughter, Patricia Pa-tricia Ann, five. The accident occured when the driver suddenly applied the brakes as a car in front of them made a left turn, reports said. The trailer then whipped from side to side, throwing the vehicle off the road and landing upside down. Mrs. Fehrenback was taken to the American Fork Hospital and then transferred immediately to thf LDS Hospital where it was reported that she underwent surgery. sur-gery. The Bees stung most teams enough so that they wound up the season as co-champs of this very evenly matched league. Bee Skipper is Stan Robinson, who would like to congratulate each team boy for their fine performance this year. He added that each player attended all games on time. Team members were, 12 year olds, David Anderson, Sherlln Manning, Ray Ivlns, Gavin Christen, Chris-ten, and Bob Anderson. Eleven year olds are Brad Robinson, Bryan Christen, Jim Lamoreaux, Ross Durrani, and Mark Good- sell. Ten year olds are Ryan Smith and Alan Smith. Nine year olds that round out this fine team are Brent Goodsell, Larry Anderson and Paul Richin. Dwight McDaniel who was badly wounded In Veit Nam on May 17 of this year, Is home for a week. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Colvin McDaniel, brought him home from a Denver hospital, hospi-tal, upon returning from their trip to Granite City, 111. where they visited with Mrs. McDaniel s family. Pfc. McDaniel will return to Denver, where he will probably have to spend another six months in the hospital. Debbie Heap, the daughter of Vernon and Linda Heap, is home after spending some time in the Am. Fork Hospital. Cliff and Jeanette Heaps enjoyed en-joyed a trip to California and up to Oregon last week. They visited vis-ited with Henry Galetka in Calif, and caught some beautiful big salmon in Coasbay, Oregon. Mrs. Tom Heaps accompanied them on their trip and stayed with her daughter's family, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Devey, in Oregon. Nancy Cox, former resident of Alpine, Is now living In Ala bama. She got married recent ly. Eight year old Miss Tammy Tuckett placed as first attendant atten-dant in the Little Buckeroo Princess contest that was held in Pleasant Grove. Miss Chris ten McGhie and Miss Jill Tur ner participated also. O'Dell Ingram, who was in jured last week, is now home from the Utah Valley Hospital. The Alpine Ward and the Alpine Al-pine Second Ward have gathered gather-ed their families and spent this week at the Dell in American Fork Canyon. It was a lovely night for a club party Friday. Thirty-four were present at the home of Lucille Carlisle. Husbands were invited and everyone played volley vol-ley ball and enjoyed a full course dinner.
