Show i- : i I American Fork City Recreation On The March The picture above illustrates some of the activity in preparation prepara-tion for the coming summer recreation season in American Fork. ' ' ' The 160 girls shown above were Organized as "Pepperettes" by Mrs Ora Chlpman and Willard R. Devltt, with the assistance of Marvin M. Allen, members of the -City Recreation Committee. . Good cooperation of the schools in registering the girls has made it possible to have so many participants. The girls have been divided into groups of twelve and each group will have two members of the American ; Fork Pep Club as advisors who will train them in routines which they will use during the summer. These Pep Club girls are under the supervision of Miss Beck, Pep Club advisor, : Each : group - have - selected a -drill mistress and two assistants to aid the Pep Club girl dlrec- 'tors.- ; " ; . Each 'of the groups are assigned assign-ed to one of the teams of the Western Boys Baseball and Little League Baseball teams. And they will give their support to the team as well as display their talents In drills and marching at each of the games. , The recreation department is also announcing an extensive program in summer band, dancing, danc-ing, art and handicraft, playground play-ground activities, swimming, softball, baseball, tennis, horse shoes, and other activities. All are now getting underway.
