Calif., a naUve of Alpine and for many years a resident of American Fork, celebrated the 80th anniversary of her birth Sept. 23. Word of the family gather lng for the occasion has Just been brought to American Fork by Mrs. Karl H. Bennett, a daughter who attended. Hosts for a family dinner were a son-inrlaw son-inrlaw and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John (Amy) 'Mathews, Olendale. Ten of Mrs. Devey's 11 children were present. She was born In Alpine Sept. 23, 1877, a daughter of Albert and Sarah uaaey Mann, one spent her girlhood In Alpine and married John Devey ox Lehl who died In 1942. Until about 20 years ago she resided In American Fork. Present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. J. Martell Devey, Mr. and Mrs. Albert M. Devey, Alhambra: Mr. and Mrs. Ever ett Devey, West Covlna; Mr. and Mrs. Ervln M. Devey, San Gabriel; Mr. fuid Mrs. Larry (Blanche) Shattuck, Alhambra; Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Cleone) Carroll, El Monte; and the host and hostess, all in California; Mr. and Mrs. Horace (LaVon) Clark, Sprlngvllle; Mrs. Lane (Arvllla) Jenkins, Houston, Tex. and Mrs. Bennett (Hanah) of American Fork. Mr. Jenkins and Mrs. Bennett were unable to attend as was a son, Wayne Devey, Covlna, Calif. The revered octogenarian has 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
