He gave a resume of the 8chool Survey as " studied " by the legislature. Sharleen Ashton, accompanied by Joleen Orant, entertained with vocal solos and Mm.' Donald Don-ald McCormick took charge. The group voted $25.00 to help with the furnishing of the Youth Home In Provo. Mrs. John W. Oertcr was a special guest. The ; meeting-was held at- the hpme of Mrs. E. Vern Hollndrake with Mrs. George B. Brown assisting hostess. Literary Leagne Jay C. Newman, Utah commis sioner of Public Safety, discuss ed "What- Makes America Oreat" before members of the Literary League Monday evening. As a closing thought he said that many Americans did not appreciate appre-ciate their country but each year 150,000 people come In on direct Immigration, and many others are eager to come, and that the great bulk of the nation's citizens citi-zens are law abiding and firmly rooted In Americanism.
