Brown and son left Monday morning for Afton, Wyo., for a few days visit with Mr. and Mrs. Soren Sabey (Fern Walker). Mr. and Mrs. John Qulncy Adams Ad-ams and Mr. and Mrs. Dell Wild of Alpine spent last week In Yel lowstone Park. While they were cone -Jane -and Cleora -Adams -visited In Lehl with their grand mother, Mrs. Margaret Brems. Mrs. Leo Bowen, Albert, Susan, and Beverly accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Camp to Malad, Ida., Tuesday for a week with relatives. The Camps had been guests of the Bowens over the week end. ' Kaye Holmstead and Betsy Robinson have gone to Yellow stone Park where they will be employed at Old Faithful Inn -am til school-begins. - Fred L. Fish left here Friday for East Chicago where he was called because of the death of his father, Fred H. Fish, 77. Mr. and Mrs. J. Clyde Birk and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Karren, Mr. and Mrs. Leo X Brown, and Miss Gayle Thomas f Provo, are spending this week In Yellowstone Park. . Mr. and Mrs. J. She attended the Presbyterian Youth Synod of California held at Asllomar, Pacific Drove, as a delegate of the Utah Presbytery. LtTona Summer Outing Annual summer outing of La- Tona Muislc club, which com pletes the work for the retiring of fleers, was , held at Hanging Rock camp Wednesday after noon of last week. Fried chicken chick-en and new corn featured the delicious hot dinner. There was community singing and two solos sol-os by Mrs. Joseph E. Mecham. Committee included Mrs. Adair W. Bromley, chairman, Mrs. El don J. Miller, Mabel Boley, Mrs. Ralph J, Roberts, Mrs. Francis Pulley, and Mrs. Oayle C. Julian. Retiring oncers are Mrs. A. Ralph Smith, Mrs. Rulon W. Hoggard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jloggard, arrived ar-rived home Saturday from Yuma, Ariz.; where he has been stationed with a construction con-struction unit of the army. He will report back for duty Aug. 18. . . ' Thomas Jay Singleton, seaman aprentlce, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. E B. Singleton of 406 East State rd., American Fork, Utah, is serving aboard the destroyer USS Hawkins. Singleton entered enter-ed the Naval service Jan. 3. 1951, and received his recruit training at the Naval Traln-lng center, San Diego, Calif. The Hawkins, attached to the Atlantic fleet destroyer force, is one of over 350 ships of Its type in the VS. Navy, Active in the Pacific area during World War II, the ship is affectionately affectionate-ly called "Sadie Hawkins" by her crew, the name stemming from the comic strip character created by Al Capp. Fort Sill, Okla.
