Arlitra Guild Annual spring dinner meeting honoring the outgoing officers of the Arlitra Ouild was held Thursday evening at the Silver Star in Orem. Columbine and roses made effective decorations for the tables where covers were laid for 29 ladies. The incoming of fleers... with Mrs. C A,. Larsen as general chairman, were hostesses. hos-tesses. Mrs. S. Dwight Packard, incoming in-coming president, took charge of the program. A toast to Mrs. C. R. Anderson, retiring president, was-given by Mrs. Leland R. Taylor proposed a toast to Mrs. R. W. Madsen, who was elected president, presi-dent, but resigned . because of moving away. Mrs. Anderson , presented the president's pin to Mrs. Packard, and gifts were given bo Mrs. Mad- sen, ana to three members, Mrs. W. J. Walter, Mrs. W. L. Faddis, and Mrs. Howard W. Nlcholes, for perfect attendance for the past year. Mrs. Packard, Mrs. Elijah Chlpman, Mrs. Leo Q. Meredith. Mrs. Harold Holley, Mrs. Nlcholes and Mrs. Mark Coddington presented a skit. The remainder of the evening was spent playing bridge and Chinese checkers with prizes going to Mrs: Meredith, Mrs. Walter, Mrs. Faddis, Mrs. Coddington, Mrs. David Cahn, Mrs. Guy S. Jerry Chadwick was , awarded merit badges in bird study and scholarship, scholar-ship, Billy Roach one in bird study, Wesley Roach was awarded award-ed a primary scout pin, Melvin Roundy received merit badges in bird study, poultry keeping, scholarship, and a primary scout plny-Davld-Hansett received a primary scout pin. Scoutmaster Darrell Hansen welcomed the following boys of the graduating Ouide class of primary into scouting at graduating grad-uating exercises Sunday: Virgil Clements, Harold Jeppson, John Chadwick, Albert Bowen, and Carl Bowers. The overnight camping trip over the week-end turned out to be a rather dismal Xftllure due to the poor support of the scouts. Participating In the event were Scoutmaster Hansen, Scouts Kay Larson, Billy Roach and Melvin Roundy. The troop has set June 16 as the date for a fishing trip to Bakers canyon above Provo dam and the troop will confine activities activi-ties to a swimming party this week. Stylish Stitchers Stylish Stitchers 4-H second year -sewing club entertained their mothers Saturday after noon at the home of Beverly Bateman, president of the group. Irene Rawllngs gave the 4-H pledge, Carma Miller told of the emblem, Vicki Durrant, the creed, talks were given by Miss Nina Nielsen, the leader, and Barbara Pulley, piano solos by Jeanlel Chlpman and Marlene Pawlowski, and a reading by Beverly. Other officers are Irene, vice president; Norma Jean Ol-sen Ol-sen and Vlckl, reporters; Barbara, Bar-bara, secretary; Jeanlel, treasurer; treasur-er; Sharon Anderson, chorister; Marlene, organist, and Carma, program chairman.
