Private First Class, has just been transferred to Lexington, Kentucky, where he Is attending Engineering School. Glen Robert Peterson, Infant son of Morley D. and Shirley Stewart Peterson of Salt Lake City, was buried Monday afternoon In the American Fork cemetery under the direction of the Alva Wing Mort-urary Mort-urary of Lehi. The child passed away November 20 in Salt Lake. He was born on October 27, 1942, and Is the great-grandson of Mrs. Fred Wright of American Fork. The parents are former reslden'ts of this city, also. Four more local boys were inducted induct-ed into the service last week and have since been transferred from Fort Douglas to parts unknown. They are: Boyd Durrant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Durrant; Lloyd Chlpman, son oi Mr. Don Chlpman; Eddie Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Smith, and Alma Watklns, son of Mrs. Georgia Watklns. These boys left last Thursday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Milne entertained enter-tained four of their close friends Saturday night at a waffle supper at their new home. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Gilchrist of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Durrant and the host and hostess. A delightful round of games followed immediately after the supper. The third ward Mutual is announcing an-nouncing a very special program for Primary next Tuesday evening. Miss Carol Clark of Pleasant Grove, a pianist of ability, assisted by a string ensemble, will present a program pro-gram of Mendelssohn's compositions. Miss Clark is a daughter of the former Sadie Shipley, a third ward I resident. The same evening the adult class will be given a talk ' on "Correct Speech" by Mr. Jones j of the local high schol speech de- j partment The local firemen and their wives enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner last Thursday night at the Harrington Harring-ton school. Covers were laid for thirty, including three special guests. The banquet and evening of entertainment enter-tainment following was under the direction of Firemen Roy Griffin, Stewart Durrant, LaDrew (Hap) Vamey and Harold Peay and was one long to be remembered by all present. Former fire-chief, Irving L. Pratt and Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Chlpman were special guests. Mr. Chlpman resigned Just recently from the organization and from the posi tion he held as secretary. Prizes i given away in a drawing conducted by Roy Griffin were awarded to the following: Ray Jacklln, Mrs. Floyd Loveridge. Irving L. Pratt, Mrs. LaDrew Varney and Mrs. Elijah Chlpman. The menus for the school lunches of next week have been received and are published here that parents par-ents and students may. know of the delicious hot meals that are prepare for the children and may take advantage of them. The menus are as follows: Monday: Potatoes, buttered beets, graham bread and butter sandwiches, sand-wiches, grapefruit Juloe and molasses mo-lasses cookies. Tuesday: Vegetable soup, graham drop-dlscuits, apple pudding and cocoa. Wednesday: Escalloped corn, but tered green beans, graham bread with cheese and peanut butter spread, canned apples and whipped cream. Thursday: Creamed tuna, peas and noodles, graham bread and butter, but-ter, grapefruit Juices and corn meal cookies. Friday1: Boiled beans with tomatoes, toma-toes, onions and peppers, cabbage salad, Boston brown bread and butter, but-ter, cocoa and apples. Thanksgiving day was the occasion oc-casion for a happy family party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert L. Ashby when 20 of their children chil-dren and grandchildren gathered to celebrate the day. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Hospital Notes Felix Tuson, a 16-month-old In-dison In-dison boy from Colorado, is the center cen-ter of attraction at the hospital this week. Mrs. Jean Gof f of Salt Lake City had her appendix removed on November No-vember 17. She is improving nicely. Miss Gail Abel returned to her home on Monday. . A baby daughter was born to Mrs. Clayton Hall on November 18. The proud father is stationed with the navy at San Diego. Mrs. Eldon Johnson presented her husband with a girl on November 20.
