Miss Marie Briggs, who has been at Sallna during the past summer, has been visiting here this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Briggs She left on Thursday for Logan to enter school at the Utah State Agricultural college. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel P. Grant and Mrs. Melvin W. Grant arrived home Wednesday night, following a visit to California. Mrs. Melvln Grant visited with relatives in Los Angeles and San Diego and Mrs. Samuel Grant visited relatives in Maywood, Whittier and San Diego. Mr. Grant left last Sunday and they returned with him, reporting a wonderful trip. Mrs. Arthur Anderson and Mrs. Earl Wall of Butte, Montana spent Friday and Saturday, visiting in American Pork with Mrs. Morley A. Zabrlskle and Mrs. Oscar Robinson. Mrs. Anderson is a sister to Mrs. Zabrlskle and Mrs. Robinson. A family dinner was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McDonald on Sunday, covers being laid for MT, and Mrs. F. C. Pectol, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McDonald and son, Ray, Mr. and Mrs. John Evans and children, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Loveridge and two sons, Burnell and Lloyd, of Eureka, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McDonald and two sons. Mrs. Mitchell Smith and little daughter, Jane, left Monday for their home In Providence, Rhode Island, after a visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Roberts. They planned to stop in Boston for a few days visit enroute to Providence. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts spent two days in Salt Lake City with their daughter before she left. American Fork relatives received word during the week from Denver, Colorado, announcing the arrival of twin babies, a boy and a girl, to Dr. and Mrs. Alton Saxer of Denver. The babies were born on September 10, and at last reports the mother and babies were doing nicely. Mrs. Saxer was formerly Miss Carma Tltcomb of this city. Mrs J. L. Mower attended a meeting meet-ing of the Utah Poultry Producers Auxiliary of Springville Wednesday afternoon, held at the home of Mrs. Roy Cates. Mrs. Mower, who Is state president of the Utah Poultry Producers Auxiliary, gave an address to the group on the new program for the auxiliary, based on "Foods For Defense". Mrs. George S. Bingham was pleasantly surprised at her home last Thursday evening by members of her family, the occasion being her birthday anniversary. They came, bringing lovely birthday gifts to Mrs. Bingham and luncheon and a gay social evening was enjoyed. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Baum and two children, Janet and Haws, Mrs. Bernard Gardner and daughter, Ralpher.a, a& of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Richardson of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. R. They came to celebrate the birthday anniversary anniver-sary of Mrs. Spratley. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greenwood and two children of Los Angeles, California arrived here this week to attend the funeral of Mrs. Burton Greenwood.
