',1 Local Items The Pep Club of the American Pork high school held a dancing party Friday night In the amuse ment hall of the Harrington school building:. There were 50 couples present and all enjoyed the dancing and refreshments. Pear sen were the guests. The high score prize was won by Mrs. June Chad wick- William Duncan received word Wednesday of the death of his brother, Elisha Duncan, at Sprtag-Tllle. Sprtag-Tllle. Mr. Duncan was born in American Fork in 1863, a son of Hohn and Jane Fulman Duncan. He has made his home in Springvllle since 1885. Mrs. Elmo Peters was hostess to the Happy Ten Bridge club, members mem-bers and special guests Friday afternoon- Mrs. Fay Brlggs, Mrs- La-Bee La-Bee Van Wagoner and Mrs. Lena Kenneth McDonald returned Sunday Sun-day from Oroville, California, where he has been working since early last spring. Mr. and Mrs. McDonald left today for a two weeks visit in San Francisco and other points of Interest Inter-est enroute. The student body officers of the American Fork high school were in chargeof the assembly held Friday afternoon. Professor Pardoe of the speech department of the Brigham Young University was the speaker-Other speaker-Other numbers on the program were opening prayer by Margaret Dunk-ley, Dunk-ley, vocal solo b Edith Chad wick, Dorothy Sudweeks danced, Jay Anderson An-derson sang with a guitar accom panist, Betty Ann Laursen gave reading and Nan Chipman sang number. The Adams Camp of the Daughters Daugh-ters of the Pioneers met Thursday in the tabernacle, Mrs. Charlott D. Shelley conducting The daughters chorus sang two numbers, "The Ship That Never Returns," and "Daughters "Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers," Mrs. Melissa Robinson accompaning the chorus-Frank chorus-Frank Shelley played a flute solo accompanied by Mrs. Mae Shelley. Mrs- Mary E Abel read the life sketches of Thomas Shelley, Charlott Char-lott Elsmore Shelley and Eliza Hlg-gins Hlg-gins Shelley. Mrs. Myrtle Seas tr and gave the lesson on Pioneer Development Develop-ment of the Western United States. A story, "The Initator," was given by Ethel Shelley and a violin and piano duet was played by Jewel and Joyce Abel. FREE!
