James Thomas Wright Prominent Lindon warn Resident Dies James Thomas Wright, J. of the Lindon Ward died at the L D. 8. Hospital Tuesday morning, after being there since the 23rd of June when he met with a serious accident while driving his cows to the pas ture. Mr. Wright suffered Injuries to his spine and pelvis when he was thrown over his horse's head to the ground and fell on his back. One of the cows he was driving ran In the wrong pasture and Mr. Wright rod In to get the animal out. The cow stopped suddenly and the horse did likewise, and threw Mr. Wright over the horse's head. At the time of his death he was a member of the High Priest Quorum. He recently resigned from the bishopric of the Lindon Ward where he had held the position of counselor for a year and a half. For thirty-five years he had been an officer In the Sunday School of the ward. His special delight was to work with the young people of the ward who all held him In high esteem. He had been manager of the Lindon Ward Amusement Hall for about forty years, he was al ways ready to answer any call to duty. Mr. Wright had a cheerful dis position and his ward will miss his Rental and wiling service. The deceased was Dorn in i-ieas ant Grove November 1, 187. and had made his home, here alt of his life. He married Annie Robbins, June 1, 189. Surviving, besides his widow are ten sons, and daughters as follows: Clarence C, Layfayette W., Archie, Mrs Lillian Atkinson. Arnica J.. Mrs. Arthur Merrill, Eldon W.. Mrs Vera Culilmore, Mrs. Martha Kirk, Mr. norothv Ann Smith, also 20 grandchildren and one great-grand child. 'Two sisters and one brother also survive. Mrs. Hattie Bewant of Pleasant Orove and Mrs. patrica Hansen of Suit Lake, and Hyrum I. Wright. Pleasant Orove. Mrs. Erroll Halllday, Mrs. Mar- cella Peterson, Mr. Maurene Bato- man of Alpine, and Miss Jonle Fage entertained at a shower at the Fago home Monday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Fage who were recently married. Halllday. 82, a Pleasant Grove Ptonjaor of 186S, In company with Otto Davis, climbed to the top of Mt TimnanoKos on July 10. and slid down the glacier. They left Pleasant Grove early tn the day and orval D. Hoover 4, only child of John D. and Kate Duke Hoover of I"rovo Canyon died at his home July 14 of diphtheria. Three broth ers have preceded the child In death. He was born May . 1827, at Charleston. The parents are heart broken over this snd loss. Funeral services will be held at the family home in Provo Canyon Friday at 10:30 a. m. Interment will be in Provo cemntery. o Improvements Being Made At Geo.
