It has 14 members, all volunteers. Up to date this year this department has answered 10 fire calls and flre loses have JeenJnpt!dowa to a minimum through its speedy response. The fire truck is housed at (he Hayes Garage,, on Main street and most of its' members are business men within one block of the truck. This ; organisation Is alive. Iy of this city, a graduate of the to. cal high school and also of the Brigham Young University, and now director of musio at Lincoln County High School, Panaca, Nevada. Lis. coin County High School has an en rollment of 85 students. Of these IS students, 65 are enrolled In the music department Mr. Poulson was select ed a member of the high school faculty some two' years ago,; at which time they had neither band nor or. chestra. Since that time he has devoted his time along these lines, to. gether with chorus work, and at this time the school prides itaelt in hav, Jng a hand of 28 pieces, and an orches tra of 25 numbers. Mr. Poulson also directs the chorus, which has made remarkable advancement and has rendered ren-dered a number of splendid and very much appreciated "programs. Thornton -1 Sons Go PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH Funeral Services For Former Resident .. of Pleasant Grove Funeral service were held in the tabernacle Wednesday for Moroni Preece of iLosAngeleSr former rest, dent of Pleasant Grove. The opening prayer was offered, by Frank D. At. wood and benediction was pronounced pronounc-ed by N, A. Iverson. A duet was sung by Nettle Warnick and Jessie Wadley. Also two vocal solos "0 My Father" and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" by Jessie Wadley. The speakers were R. D4 Wadley, Bishop & L Swensen of the Pleasant Grove Second ward, J. W. Halllday, an old time neighbor,; also ' W, A Knight of LehlTand Lawrence M. At. wood, the last two being nephews of the deseasedv .:,. - . Interment was in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Joseph Preece, brother of the deceased. The floral offerings were very beautiful, several pieces coming from the home gardens t Los Angeles. The remains were accompanied here by Mary D. Preece, his widow and his son. Miner. He Is survived by his widow and five sons all living in Los Anyeles, California. Many of our old residents will re member Rone Preece having owned the old farm now owned and occupied by L M. Atwood of Manila ward. "' - e Special Rally At High School .On Wednesday a special rally was held at the High -School to arouse Interest in the High School Play which was presented Thursday after noon and evening at the Albambra Theatre. The- program consisted of two numbers from the Orchestra, "57 Varieties, of Sweethearts dramatized by 8 boys and 8 girls in costumes. The second part of the program was a review of plays produced by thp High School from lt beginning. 1 Short synopsis 2 Cast of characters 8 Amusing Incidents by Alma Kirk, Mrs. May Grua and Mrs. Lois West The program was different from other programs and much enjoyed. o Miss Ethel Shoell was a Salt Lake visitor Saturday.
