She feels the westside property proper-ty currently being considered for tax increment financing would develop anyway and she would like to see something beautiful develop. "I would rather see both something that is pleasing to look at and something that is needed in the city rather than another discount store," she said. "We need to get somebody to get organized and get it moving. A nice department store or sit-down sit-down restaurant would be very welcome," she added. She appreciates having the items on the upcoming bond election separated so voters can voice their opinions individual- ly. "I think people should have a Be a newspaper carrier! "It is also good for the public to hear how the council feels and how is bases its decisions and insight." "I am very supportive of the approach thst the current city council has opted to use on that," he said. "I think the voters vot-ers should have the option to research. As the youngest American member of the hiking party, he became quite a celebrity. One day, when they were staying at a camp at the base of Mt. Elbrus, Scott opted to hang out with the local teenagers rather than go with his group. "I lived the normal life of one of the Ukrainian kids," he said. In the evening, he went to a dance where he said the other teenagers watched his every move. Both the guys and the girls wanted to see how Americans dance. So he did some "Michael Jackson moves" which he said had them "laughing on the floor." In the climb, neither Greg nor Scott made it to the summit. sum-mit. On the day the group was going to reach the summit which is about an eight hour hike on a day with good weather, Greg stayed behind feeling ill. He passed all the members mem-bers of their hiking party on their way down as he was going up, but he didn't see Scott. "I asked him, Why didn't you say , anything?'" said Greg. A few members of their party did reach the summit. Scott made it to 17,000 plus feet. Later that evening, it was discovered that two men from another hiking party from Greece actually did wander off . the defined path and hadn't returned. They didn't survive the 70 mph winds that roared that night and were later found dead by the search and rescue party. "Not everybody realizes," said Greg, "that the mountain, . although not a technically difficult dif-ficult mountain, has killed more climbers than any other ' large mountain in the world. It ' deceives you. All of the sudden, sud-den, the weather changes." Greg said that the climb did accomplish its purpose.
