The song was written and performed by Patti Lynn Jensen. Music video to fight drug abuse A gigantic wave could be seen at the park adjacent to Legacy Elementary School on Tuesday as students from schools in American Fork and nearby towns used their arms in rhythm to help with the filming on a musical video promoting promot-ing the resistance against drugs. Patti Lynn Jensen, an American Fork country-western singer, wrote and recorded the song, which may become an international symbol of the D A R E. (Drug Awareness Resistance Education) program. The Game of Life," whose lyrics encourage children to stand up for what they know is right, has been adopted by the state D.A.R.E. program pro-gram and will be introduced at the National Conference of D.A.R.E. Filming of the 3 Vi minute video continued later at Lagoon amusement amuse-ment park in Farmington. Jensen became involved in the drug-resistance program after her husband, Richard Jensen, became an American Fork Police officer five years ago. He is now also a D.A.R.E. instructor as part of his duties. The song was first introduced at a D.A.R.E. graduation in American Fork, and since Jensen has been asked to perform it at similar graduations grad-uations not only in American Fork but throughout the state. Alpine judge dies Funeral services are being held this morning for Alpine Judge Kyle Glynn Arnold, 63, who died Sunday at his home after a series of illnesses. The services are scheduled for the Alpine Stake Center, 98 E. Canyon Crest Rd., at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Alpine City Cemetery. Judge Arnold had served as justice jus-tice of the peace in Alpine for more than 20 years, but resigned just last month because of his health concerns. He had previously served as a city councilman. The flags at City Hall are flying at half staff to honor his memory and the quarter century of service he gave the community. com-munity.
