Surveys conducted con-ducted over the past year revealed iiat Utah anglers were equally jdivided over the issue of using two fishing poles, according to Tom JPettengill, Division Sport Fisheries Coordinator. ' Resident and non-residents will J)e allowed to fish with two poles on Xhe following waters if they purchase pur-chase a $10 second pole permit, in addition to their 1997 combination licence or fishing license. Waters for this new ruling include: Utah Lake, Bear River, from the Idaho Btate line downstream (including Cutler Reservoir and outlet canals), Little Bear River below Valley View Highway (SR-30), Public opinion is sought Public input, regarding several wildlife oriented issues, is being requested at the next Regional Advisory Council, scheduled October 15th, 7 pm, at the Utah County ADM Building Room L900 (enter through the West door), 100 E. Center, Provo. The following topics will be discussed and information, infor-mation, gathered from the public, will be conveyed to the Utah Wildlife Board, as they determine future hunting and fishing policies in the state. Topics to be covered at the next meeting include: Limited Entry Big Game Draw for the Division of Wildlife Resources' Southern and Southeastern Regions Bonneville and Colorado Cutthroat Trout Conservation Agreements Conservation and Sportfishing Management Strategies Bucks and Bulls Proclamation and Rule Turkey Permit Numbers Posted Hunting Units R657-5 Big Game Cougar hunt is changed Cougar hunting proclamations are now available for the 1996-97 hunting season at all Division of Wildlife Resources offices and by October 11 at participating licence agents statewide. Hunters are encouraged to read the proclamation proclama-tion to become familiar with changes in hunting regulations, effective this year.
