Holland, President of Brigham Young University, will be the Grand Marshal of the 1982 Utah County Parade of Cities in Spanish Fork on Saturday, August 21st at 9 a.m. Holland was selected by this year's parade officials from among many choices because of his role in the community and the county, according to Charles J. Dearing, parade chairman. Holland has made a great contribution to our community, and we're excited to have him lead the parade,'.' Dearing said. Holland accepted the invitation to participate partici-pate in the parade from the County Commissioners Commis-sioners in a letter saying, "Mrs. Holland and I are flattered to be invited to serve as Grand MarshalLs for the parade." He and bis . family will ride at the head of the parade. This year's parade promises to be the biggest and the beet ever, Dearing said. Fork. 8-19-lt 2 V A Concerned Citizen Pleasant Grove Public Notices Public Hearing SUBJECT: CERTIFICATE CER-TIFICATE OF NEED. By direction of the Governor, the Utah State Department of Health will conduct public hearings for the purpose of soliciting public comment on the re-authorization of the Utah Certificate of Need Program. The present authorization expires in June of 1983. These hearings will be conducted at four locations in Utah at the times and places noted below: August 24, 1982, 6 p.m. Washington Alter (ZONE CHANGE) so that one car will not be blocked by another car or other obstacle. To provide better usage of the mobile home lot the city council is considering this change. All interested citizens are invited to but the parade committee expects there will be more than 60 entries Saturday. Last year's parade attracted about 3,000 spectators, according to Dearing, and this year the parade committee hopes to see more people in attendance. ' The parade will begin at 7th East and Center Street, go west to State Street, one block South to 1st South and back to 3rd East and 1st South in Spanish Fork. Floats will be judged at 8 a.m., and three awards will be given: the Sweepstakes County Fair Exhibits Along with the traditional Utah County Fair exhibits such as horticulture, home arts, fine arts, 4-H and FFA, floriculture and even scout exhibits, this year there are many new and ' interesting exhibits which will take your eye.
