Show Paul L Johnson Home From Mission Gregory Perkins Homecoming Sunday The Citizen Thursday, August 20, 1981 - Page A-6 PAUL JOHNSON Elder Paul L. Johnson, son of Harold and Betty Johnson has returned to American Fork after serving two years in the Argentina Buenos Aires North Mission. A homecoming service ser-vice in his honor will be held on Sunday, August 23r in the American Fork Seventh Ward Chapel, 167 North 350 West, at 10:50 a.m. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the service and hear Elder Johnson's report and alsa attend an open house at the Johnson residence, 73 Wilson Avenue, after the church services. Paul plans to continue his education at Brigham Young University. I frmw j- Debbie Dumas To Report Sunday Debbie Dumas, daughter of Douglas and Arva Dumas of Highland, recently returned from serving in the New Zealand Christchurch Mission for the LDS Church. This was formerly the New Zealand Wellington Mission. A homecoming service ser-vice in her honor will be held on Sunday, August 23, at 2:15 p.m. in the Highland Second Ward Chapel, 10400 North 6000 West, Highland. Friends and relatives are invited to come out and hear her mission report. DEBBIE DUMAS Craig Merrell Completes English Mission CRAIG MERRELL Elder Craig Merrell, son of Reid and Nelva Merrell, has completed serving an LDS mission in the England Manchester Man-chester area. A homecoming service ser-vice in his honor will be held on Sunday, August 23, in the American Fork 24 Ward Chapel, 320 North 100 East, At 12 noon. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the meeting and hear Craig's mission report. Cub Scouts Hold Fund Raising Project The American Fork Eighteenth Ward Cub Scouts will be holding a fund raising project on Saturday, August 29, when they will be taking orders for a family portrait colored picture with a wood frame for only $8.95. Greg graduated from American Fork High School and Seminary, attended BYU and was employed by the county prior to his mission call. He will return to school this fall where he is enrolled in pre-med at BYU. David J. Nielson Re-Enlists In Navy Navy Intelligence Specialist 1st Class David J. Nielson, son of Doyle L. and Dorothy Nielson of 640 E. 700th St., American Fork, has reenlisted for four years while serving as a member on the staff of Commander Fleet Air Keflavik, Naval Station, Keflavi, Iceland. J.D. Cornish Graduates From Air Force Course Capt. J.D. Cornish, son of Mr. and Mrs. George O. Cornish of 669 N. 420 West, American Fork, has graduated from.the U.S. Air Force medical service officers orientation course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. Graduates of the course are instructed in the professional and administrative procedures proced-ures of the Air Force. Cornish, a pediatrician, will now serve at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. His wife, Elaine, is the daughter of Elbert R. Simmons of Provo. He received a master's degree in 1973 from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. Lloyd H. Nelson Graduates From -From Navy Course Marine 2nd Lt. Lloyd H. Nelson, whose wife, Linda, is the daughter of Blaine and Joy Hansen of American Fork, was graduated from the Navy's Aviation Indoctrination In-doctrination Course (AIC). During the four-week course at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla., trainees studied basic aerodynamics, aviation physiology and engineering. They also studied land and sea survival techniques and participated in an extensive ex-tensive physical fitness curriculum.
