Karl Johnson Named Assistant Administrator At Am. Fork Hospital Karl Johnson has recently been employed at the American Fork Hospital as an assistant administrator, ac-according ac-according to an announcement an-nouncement by Mark J. Howard, administrator. His responsibilities at the hospital include materials management, and the administrative council member over pharmacy, dietary, laboratory and medical records. Johnson previously worked at the Highline Community Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Seattle is his home town. He served four years in the United States Air Force, then attended BYU, graduating with a BS in English in 1974. He received his MBA from BYU in 1976. He met his wife, Karen, at BYU and they have four children and are expecting their fifth child in June. Mrs. Johnson received her degree in Elementary Education, and says she is happy to be living in American Fork so she can be closer to her family in Arizona. Mr. Johnson says his "spfcre Vtime . is ... pent reading and keeping physically fit. His undergraduate un-dergraduate minor was in Child Development and Family Relations, and he has continued his studies of marriage and the family. He has been in private practice in Pleasant Grove for 16 years. Dr. Murdock and his wife, the former Louise Thompson, have five children and three grandchildren. Dr. Murdock has previously served as president of the staff of the American Fork Hospital and as president of the Utah County Medical Society. Intensive Care Unit was chosen as the employee of the month for February at the American Fork Hospital. She has worked at the hospital for the past three years, working on medical, surgical, recovery and in ICU. Her co-workers say she is "always cheerful, always goes the extra mile to see things get done, and she is genuinely concerned about her patients. Janell frequently calls patients after they have been discharged from the hospital to see how they are doing. She is really a good public relations person." She says she enjoys working with people and her hobbies are sewing, all crafts, tole painting, and doing things with her family. She and her husband, Ed, have four children, Angie, Aleisa, Chad and Andrea. They live in Lindon. New Directors At Alpine Credit Union The 27th Annual Meeting of Alpine Credit Union was held on Feb. 20 in the Main Ballroom of the Wilkinson Center, on the BYU Campus. In addition to the business meeting, dinner was served and the election results for positions on the Board of Directors was announced. Two positions, each for a three year term, were open and needed to be filled on the Board of Directors. Votes were cast by eligible members mem-bers of the credit union. LaDell Gillman and James B. Nelson were elected to serve as directors.
