Betersen of Murray, formerly of Copperton, was graduated Feb. 15 from the Interior In-terior Communications Electrician Electric-ian School at the Naval Training Train-ing Center, San Diego, Calif. Students at the school are taught the care and maintenance of shipboard navigational equipment. equip-ment. This includes electrical and magnetic compasses such as the synchro units, gyro-compass systems and related equipment. Graduates of the school are generally gen-erally assigned to shipboard duties du-ties upon completion of their training.
