Show OREM TIMES Page 3 NEWS, STORIES AND EVENTS FROM YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD OVERHEARD IN OREM Will you be attending or have you previously attended Orem Summerfest? What do you like about Summerfest? What would make it better or what don t they have that you'd like to see at Summerfest? Thursday, June 5, 2008 We're new to Orem. I just saw a sign on a street light. I haven't really heard anything any-thing about it. Eric and Holly Armstrong "Yes. Probably 20 times; many, many times. We like the parade and fireworks. It's at night so it's not so hot. The kids like the rides, Todd likes the police vehicles and fire trucks. The only thing is the ticket booth needs a bigger sign. It's too hard to find." Laurie Lammers "We just moved from Mid-vale. Mid-vale. I haven't been to it. Yeah, we always like stuff like that. Yeah, you bet we'll try it out." I Heidi Robertson 1 i c 1 Nv "A 9 "I havent. I just moved here a couple of years ago. Yeah, I'd be interested." I Kyle Elliott "It's all kinds of fun being with family and going out. No I dont think they can improve it. I think they've got ft covered." cov-ered." Kaitlyn Lindsey "I have, more than once. We like the carnival, fireworks and the parade, of course. I just like it. I just look forward to ft every year." Katie Shelley "We just moved here last year from Virginia. I thought if 1 took our kids, they would have a real blast. We went to the carnival and maybe my wife took them to the parade. I have a brother here in Orem and we got together and took the families. It's probably impossible, im-possible, but they could use a bigger location. It was way too crowded." Stephen Wray "We will probably be attending. attend-ing. We have in the past. We typically at least come for the fireworks, sometimes the parade, pa-rade, and sometimes the booths. The parade is the best because be-cause you dont fight the same crowds you for the Fourth of July. I know-the thing I like is the information booths about water conservation and plants more than the craft booths. They have great food booths." Tamara Pinder Q mm "Yes. I've lived here all my life as an Orem resident. The parade and the fireworks. For my husband and dads, they need more motorcycles, classic cars and bike jumping. They need to involve everyone so my husband doesn't say, 'Seriously, 'Seri-ously, is it over soon?'" I Shelby Larsen 1 haven't. 1 just haven't had the chance. It sounds like fun.
