Owen graduated from American Fork High School in 1935 and was well known as the First drum major ma-jor of American Fork High School Marching Band. She married K V. Adams of Pleasant Grove and they owned and operated a dairy farm in Manila (North Pleasant Grove) for many years, K and Owen are the parents of three children. Daniel K Adams (Karen). American Fork. Utah resident Kim Peek was the inspiration for the movie "Rain Man," along with his father Fran Peek and will share their inspirational message mes-sage to recognize and respect differences in others. Kim Peek is a genius in approximately 15 areas: history, his-tory, literature, geography, sports, music, dates. He can recall some 12,000 books from memory and college-level calculations cal-culations in his head. He is limited in many of his activities of daily living and still lives with his father who has helped with these things for all of his life. Orem Senior Friendship Center All centers will be closed Jaa 19 to Jaa 21 for Civil Rights Day weekend and reopen on Jan. 22. Senior Citizens Citi-zens are encouraged to visit the Orem Senior Friendship Center to meet with friends and enjoy a variety socially enriching experiences and programs. Membership in the Orem Senior Friendship Center organization or-ganization is open to all men and women, 53 years of age and older, and is required to participate in any of the Orem Senior Friendship Center classes and other offerings. Cost of the center membership member-ship is S3 per year or $25 for a lifetime membership. Transportation Home-bound Home-bound individuals have transportation available to them through United Way by calling 374-9306. Meals are cooked at Utah Valley Regional Re-gional Medical Center and are furnished by Mountainland Association of Governments. Meals on Wheels Mountainland Moun-tainland Association of Governments can provide a hot, nutritious meal to those seniors who are homebound as wett. Come and pick a birthday gift and enjoy ice cream served following lunch. Luncheons The suggested donation for the meal is S2 for 60-ptus seniors and J4.90 for those 59 years old and younger. The suggested donation for salads is $225 for seniors and $5.65 for those 59 or younger, Mountainland Association of Governments and the State of Utah fund the senior lunch program.
