Greenwood, a lifetime life-time resident of American Fork ;md former owner of Greenwood Service, will celebrate his 80th birthday this week. He is also proud to be celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary with his beautiful wife LaRae, a few months from now. The celebration will be held on Saturday, January 5 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Lehi Senior Citizens Center, 123 North Center Street, Lehi. (Located inside the Lehi Legacy Center). All neighbors, neigh-bors, friends and relatives are invited to attend. Elwin was born January 3, 1918 in Lehi to Joseph Earnest Barnes and Azalia Brook. -He proudly served his country during WWII and is a member of the Lehi Veterans. Vet-erans. He married Rose Mascaro from Herriman in August of 1945 just Spencer Carpenter Spencer Carpenter, son of Lance and Stacee Carpenter of Pleasant Grove, will receive his Eagle Scout award January 5 in a Court of Honor. He is a member of troop 1205, sponsored by Pleasant Grove 2nd Ward. For his Eagle service project, he prepared 350 State health core curriculum boxes for new teachers teach-ers in Alpine School District. He is in the 9th grade at Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Jr. High. He enjoys scouting, hunting, basketball and being in the outdoors with family and friends. B few weeks after returning from the war. She passed away in 1997. Together they have two children: Rosalin Hamilton (LaMont) of Herriman and Johnny (Amy) Barnes of Lehi. He is a doting grandfather to 8 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 11. He is a retiree of Geneva Steel. He enjoys doing temple work and still tends to several head of sheep. He likes to go camping occasionally with the grandchildren grandchil-dren and hopes to continue to be independent. He is a great example ex-ample of honesty, patriotism and endurance. We love you Dad and Grandpa. You're the best! Bea Walker Adams, 85, of Pleasant Grove, passed away 24, 2007 Ij after our traditional Christmas Eve family gathering. Bea was born May 4, 1922 to Richard L Walker and Alberta McEwan Walker. She lived all her life in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Bea attended Salt Lake Business College, and then married her sweetheart, Thomas Ardie Adams, on September 11, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Bea and Ardie have been happily married for 64 years. Bea was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, and many people were recipients of her fine pies and candies. She was always thoughtful of others and looked for and found ; goodness in everyone. Bea ' is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Utter-day Saints; she held manj positions in the Church and served as a secretary to her husband, Patriarch T. Ardie Adams. She is the proud mother of five children: Richard Thomas Adams (deceased), Cameron Walker Adams (Kathleen), Edward Jon Adams (Betty),-Lynn (Betty),-Lynn Paul Adams (Diane), and LuAnn Aekerman (Kent), all of Pleasant Grove. Bea is the Grandmother of 15 grandchildren grandchil-dren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends called at Olpin Family Fam-ily Mortuary, 494 South 300 East on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services were held, Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Battlecreek 7th Ward Chapel, 1106 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove where friends called one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Daily Nutrition Program The Orem Senior Friend-? ship Center hosts a luncheon Monday through Friday at -noon, featuring a hot, nutritious nutri-tious meal, socializing with friends, as well as musical and informal programs. Luncheon reservations are required the day before by noon and can be made at 229- 7111. Transportation Home-bound Home-bound individuals have transportation available to them through United Way by calling 374-9306. Meals are ' cooked Utah Valley Regional Re-gional Medical Center and are furnished by Mountainland Association of Governments. Meals on Wheels Mountainland Moun-tainland Association of Governments Gov-ernments can provide a hot. nutritious meal to those seniors se-niors who are homebound as well. Birthdays On the first Friday Fri-day of each month a Birthday Party is held to honor all Orem Senior Friendship Center members who have a birthday in the current month. Come and pick a birthday gift and enjoy ice cream served following follow-ing lunch. Luncheons The suggested donation ' for the meal is S2 for 60-plus seniors and S4.90 forthose 59 years old and younger. The suggested donation for . salads is S2.25 for seniors and S5.65 for those 59 or younger. Mountainland Association of Governments and the State of Utah fund the senior lunch program.
