M - tunings 1 jmjiH- j?f. ;Tr!1 Nelda Stevens Warnick, age 82, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007, sur rounded by her loving family. She was born November 19, l!)2.r. in I I Paso, Texas to John W. and Ivie Miner Stevens. She has 4 sisters, Mary (de ceased); Helen; Hel-en; l-'lorene (deceased); Vera; and one brother Weston (deceased). Nelda excelled in church and school activities and saved enough money to come to BYU in 1944. She roomed with a girl from Manila Ma-nila (Steve's cousin) who brought her to a Halloween party where she met Stephen L Warnick. After Af-ter a fun courtship, the couple was married June 13. 194!) in the Salt I-ake Temple. They recently celebrated cel-ebrated their (i2nd wedding anniversary. anni-versary. Steve and Nelda are the parents of 7 children, John Warnick War-nick (deceased); Scott (June) Warnick; War-nick; Paul (Rene') Warnick; Donna Don-na (Roy) Taylor; JoAnn (David) Baria; Christine (Gregory) Cooper; and Thomas (Jodi) Warnick. They presently have 51 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Nelda was always busy in the l.DS church and involved in anything any-thing cultural or musical in the Manila 1st Ward. She had many church callings and also supported Steve in his callings. She and Sieve served an LDS mission in 1990-1991 in the Washington D.C. South Mission. They also enjoyed traveling, visiting all 50 states, Europe, Canada and Mexico, and taking their family on several cruises. Nelda received her BS in Special Spe-cial Education from BYU in 197.'!. She worked for 20 years at the Utah State Training Schrxjl as Director Di-rector of Education and did much to improve the lives of the clients there. Nelda has endured the effects of Parkinson's disease for over 25 years, but has managed to live the best life she could under the devoted and tender care of her husband. She has made wonderful wonder-ful friends throughout her life, many of whom will enjoy a happy reunion with her in the next life. She was blessed with beauty, a quick wit, a lovely singing voice and sparkling, lively blue eyes. Her delightful personality brought joy and happiness to those she associated as-sociated with. She taught her family fam-ily the principles of work, thrift, music, laughter and perseverance. She will be sorely missed but her family rejoices in the knowledge that her body is free from the effects ef-fects of the disease she has battled for so long. Her family also wishes to express appreciation to those who have assisted with Nelda's care, especially Ward members, Vista Care Hospice, Sherrie Atkinson, Debbie Randall, Eileen Robinson and others too numerous to mention. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sat-urday, December 8, 2007 at 1 1:00 a.m. in the Manila HThward chapel cha-pel (Mahogany Building) at 1320 West 3540 North, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A viewing was held Friday, December 7, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah, and also one hour prior to the services in the Ward chapel. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. He was born Feb. 22, 1948 in Lehi, Utah, son of Calvin Cal-vin Ray and Rhoda Opal Dickerson Jacobs. Ja-cobs. Married Malia Orvin, later divorced. Ron worked as an auto body mechanic. He served in the Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He was a big hunter and loved working on cars and going to the races. He loved his children and enjoyed being around them and going places with them. He always enjoyed time spent with "The Wild Bunch." He loved to tell his funny stories, being in the outdoors, river rafting, 4-wheel-ing, and he was very athletic and enjoyed all sports. Survived by his children: Ryan (Kami) Clover, Jennifer Lee Jacobs, Ja-cobs, Kirbi Ann Jacobs, Whitney Ron Jacobs; grandson, Gavin Hunter Jacobs; siblings, Jack Jacobs, Shirley (Michael) Currier, Cur-rier, Clyde (Janice) Jacobs, Judy (Bruce) Black, Linda (Gary) Jol-ley. Jol-ley. He was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 in the Wing Mortuary chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi. Interment was in Lehi City Cemetery with military honors. LUCILE EVANS WHITE Lucile Johnson Evans White, age 93 died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 in American Fork, Utah of causes incident to age. She was born June 18, 1914 in Lehi, Utah, daughter daugh-ter of Charles Lenard and Jennie Christina Chris-tina Peterson Johnson. She married Karl Robinson Evans, March 18, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died March 20, 1954. She later married Mark Irvin White, who passed away Sept. 29, 1992. Lucile worked as Lehi City Treasurer. She served in the LDS Church in all the organizations organiza-tions and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved sewing, spending time with her family and many, many grandkids to whom she was very devoted and who she dearly loved. The family is thankful to Craig and Karol Smedley and their staff at the Beehive Home in American Fork for their loving care of Lucile. Survived by one son and four daughters, Max J. Evans (Mary), Gaithersburg, MD; Karlyn Fowler (DeVere), Kathleen Lott (Robert), both of Lehi; Jennifer Barratt (Ted), American Fork; Lois Steiner (Don), Glastonbury, CT; 25 grandchildren; 57 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, 9 great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, par-ents, 3 sisters, Helen Owens, Inez Nielsen, and Betty Barnhurst. Funeral, Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and also Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Inter-ment, Lehi City Cemetery.
