WALKER Brady Walker died on Friday November .'JO, 2007 at the home of his daughter, of causes incident in-cident to age. lie was born to Earnest and Julia Keber Walker in Santa Clara, Ut on March 1.1, 1921. He was the eldest of (j children. His childhood and early education edu-cation took place in Mesquite and liunkerville. Nevada. He graduated gradu-ated from Virgin Valley High School in 1939. At an early age he became interested in athletics using a round rock for a shot put, a small wagon wheel for a discus and a long pointed limb for a javelin. In high school he excelled in these activities before coming to BYU where he became an outstanding out-standing All American basketball player. He was given the J. Edwin Stein Award for all around athletic athlet-ic achievement in 1940 and 1947. 1 lis education was interrupted when he served in the army, driving driv-ing half track in the 3rd armored division under General George S "Blood and Guts" I'atton in the European Theatre. During deployment deploy-ment of troops after the war he was captain of a track team which culminated in to participating in the final competition held in the famous stadium at Nuernberg Germany. As Brady stood in 1st place on the dais, General George S Patton walked onto the field, ceremoniously congratulated him, and then in abrupt breaking formality, for-mality, kissed Walkers hand. During his first and only furlough he married his eternal sweetheart Olive Elaine Tucker in 1943 in Provo, Ut. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake l.DS Temple. Brady resumed his studies at BYU and after graduating was signed to play professional basketball bas-ketball with the Boston Celtics and the Baltimore Bullets. Brady and Olive enjoyed 57 years togeth er and made their home in Orem, Ut. Olive passed away in 2003. He owned and operated oper-ated his own construction business with frontend loaders, load-ers, trucks etc. His expertise ex-pertise in these machines brought recognition from many contractors contrac-tors and he took satisfactions from doing a job well done. In 1989 Brady became aware of the Senior Olympic Games and other Senior Games in various states. His keen interest in sports immediately heightened and he became an avid participant in these games, excelling again in the shotput, javelin hammer and high jump. Brady was also active in LDS church functions, having served as an ordinance worker in both Provo and Mt. Timpanogos Temples. He was an avid student of the scriptures. Brady is survived by his daughter daugh-ter Debbie and her husband Carl Anderson, Lindon, Ut. 7 grandchildren, grand-children, 5 great grandchildren, two sisters Vivian Packer and Verleen Bay both of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Brady and his wife Olive. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Windsor 1st Ward Chapel, 1505 North 145 East, Orem. A viewing was held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State St., Orem, and also Wednesday one hour prior to the services in the ward chapel. Interment will be held in the Orem City Cemetery with military rites provided by VFW District 4. Wheelwright OGDEN - Geniel Rae Culli-more Culli-more Wheelwright passed away peacefully at November 29, 2007, sur rounded by family and friends. . She was born January Janu-ary 11, 1927 in Lindon, Utah, the second child of Vern Alfred and Cumorah Agnes Smith Cullimore. She attended at-tended school in Pleasant Grove and graduated with honors from Pleasant Grove High School in 1945. She attended Brigham Young University where she met her future husband, Worth Pearse Wheelwright, from Og-den, Og-den, Utah. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple on October Octo-ber 15, 1947. She loved people and enjoyed participating in numerous civic, cultural and social organizations including Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Pio-neers, K-Anns (Kiwanis Ladies Club), Junior Children's Hour Club, Sewing Club, Creative Writing Club and the Variannes and Debonairs dance clubs. She and Worth were also members of a close-knit group of friends that met together monthly for more than 50 years. Geniel's favorite hobby was Lorrin LeBlanc Smith Lorrin LeBlanc Smith, 40, died December 3, 2007. She was born November 5, 1967 in Midwest City, OK and grew up there. She married mar-ried Chris Logan and they divorced. She moved with her two children to Utah where she married Mark Walker Smith. She was active in the LDS church and worked in the Primary and as ward organist. organ-ist. She didn't want to be in the spotlight but enjoyed looking at life from the back row. She loved to watch her children and grandchildren perform. She is survived by her children, chil-dren, Pamela (Lee) Crittenden, North Ogden, UT; Kevin (Marilyn) (Mari-lyn) Wheelwright, San Ramon, CA; Ronald (Becky) Wheelwright, Wheel-wright, Ogden, UT; and Douglas (Peggy) Wheelwright, South Ogden, Og-den, UT; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister and two brothers, Sandra Cullimore, and Steven Cullimore, both of Pleasant Grove, UT; and Forrest (Billie) Cullimore, Blackfoot, ID. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one infant brother, Gary Smith Cullimore. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7th at 11 a.m. at the Waterfall Canyon Ward Chapel, 3254 Polk Avenue, Ogden, Og-den, UT.
