It will be at the amphitheater, 851 E. 700 North, at 8 p.m. now through Saturday. From 6:30-8 p.m., there will be a harvest festival, with activities. Those who attend are asked to bring blankets, both to sit on and to wrap up in to stay warm. Tickets in advance are $30 for a family of up to six immediate members, or $7 per person. "Espana" theme of American Fork Symphony concert Latin rhythms will be prevalent during the first concert of the American Fork Symphony's 2007-2008 season on Monday, Oct. 22. Titled "Espana," the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the American Fork High School auditorium, 510 N. 600 East, American Fork. Admission is $3 ($10 per family). The symphony sym-phony will be under the direction direc-tion of conductor Alan Allred. The concert will feature a-performance a-performance by classical guitar gui-tar soloist Don Davis. Davis will perform one movement from "Concierto de Aranjuez" by Spanish composer Joaquin Rodrigo. The evening of music will also include performances of a suite of melodies from the musical mu-sical "Carmen" by Bizet, music from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Web-ber musical "Evita," Rimsky-Korsakov's Rimsky-Korsakov's "Capriccio Espag-nol" Espag-nol" and "Espana Rhapsody" by Chabrier. Don Davis is a medical technologist tech-nologist by profession but has been playing the guitar as a hobby for some 50 years. He has also excelled on the banjo, mandolin and electric bass and enjoys many different styles of music. He accompanies other instrumentalists at fiddle contests all over the western United States including the National Contest in Weiser, Idaho, winning trophies for best accompanist. After playing play-ing in numerous groups during his lifetime, he currently plays with the Utah Old Time Fiddlers Fid-dlers and the classical group Quintessential Quintet, where he enjoys arranging the music for that group. Don continues the tradition tradi-tion his grandfather started by teaching his grandsons to play and appreciate the love of music. Don has played the guitar, banjo, bass and even harmonica with the American Fork Symphony and this will be his second solo performance on classical guitar. American Fork Symphony Conductor Alan Allred's professional pro-fessional career includes work as a conductor, educator and violinist. He was conductor of the College of the Redwoods Sin-fonia Sin-fonia and is presently string supervisor for Provo School District, serving as conductor of the Timpview High School Philharmonic and Symphony orchestras. Allred completed his bachelor's of music education edu-cation degree at Utah State University, his master's degree at Brigham Young University and doctoral studies at Arizona State University. He was honored hon-ored by the American String Teachers Association and the National School Orchestra Association as the secondary teacher of the year for the state of Utah in 2003.
