Nearly every single person I encountered this year on Feb. 14 had a lot to say about Valentine's Day. Either they were dressed in all black and cursing the day, or they were dressed in all pink or red and carrying around a wilting flower and grinning like their life depended on it. As far as I have seen, people either detest Valentine's Day because they don't have a Valentine, they have a Valentine Valen-tine they don't want to have, they hate chocolate and flowers, flow-ers, or they really don't like the combination of numbers 214.
