Sandhill Road, complete with a museum. Now., volunteers are needed to staff the facility., and patrons to tour it. The building housing the museum was constructed to be the same size and floor plan as the home belonging to Jctrgen Nielsen, ithe Danish pioneer immigrant who left bis homeland, came to Utah, and created the original Nielsen's Grove on his property a site that became a popular gathering place far picnicking and recreation during its late-1800s andturnrf-lhe-cenhjry heyday. Fred Fhflpot, an intern with She city who has responsibility for recruiting volunteers to serve as tour guides at the museum, said regular hours for athe f aciliry to be open have not yet been established, xnaihry because cff busy and unpredictable summer schedules, as well as the need for more volunteers. IPhilpat hopes to enlist ifihose volunteers. JThe time commitment does not have to be great just once a week or once a month for a few tours at a time to watch over the museum, he said. There is a book available to the guides that (outlines the history of Nielsen's Grove, and the tours can be largely self -guided, so large amounts of memorization memoriza-tion are not required.
