He was born March 27, 1926 in Pomerene. Arizona to Pete and Florence Fenn. Harold married mar-ried Bertha Clark on May 15, 1947. He has two children, Jerry David Da-vid who passed away at a young age, and Randy Fenn, plus three grandchildren and one great grandchild and one on the way. Harold served in the U.S. Navy from Feb. 1944 to May 194fi; worked at Geneva for .'W and one-half years, retiring March 27. 1988. He has served in the American Ameri-can Legion for over 40 years and has been the second vice commander for 25-years. Williams, a senior at American Fork High School, has been selected by Bands of American to perform in one of the nation's finest honor ensembles, the 2006 National Honor Band of America. Williams was selected by audition among hundreds of high school applicants from across the nation for membership in this prestigious honors ensemble. Rebecca is the daughter of Thomas and Michele Williams of American Fork. Her band director is John Miller. The Bands of America Honor Band will perform in concert on Saturday, March 25, 200b at Clowes Memorial Hall, located on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis. Indiana. The Honor Band is a 1000-piece national ensemble en-semble that will be directed by Ray Cramer, recently retired Director of Bands at Indiana University, and one of the nation's preeminent wind conductors. Rebecca has played her French Horn with the National Honor Band the last two years, which has been a highlight of her high school years. She particularly enjoys the total immersion in music for three days with other elite musicians. Their schedule is filled with rehearsals and master classes with renowned professionals. Rebecca has been excited to perform per-form under the direction of different differ-ent guest conductors each year. The ensemble will also be treated to a private concert by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. The three-day event, March 23 to 25, also features the National Concert Band Festival, the National Percussion Festival, the debut of the Orchestra America National Festival, and the second annual appearance ap-pearance of the Honor Orchestra of America. In 2005, Scott O'Neil, Associate As-sociate Conductor of the Utah Symphony, Sym-phony, was selected as the guest conductor of the first National Honor Hon-or Orchestra of America. Since its inception iit 1992, the annual event has celebrated excellence in music, inviting 15 to 19 high school concert bands to attend and perform. This year, six high school orchestras will perform in the debut of the Orchestra Or-chestra America National Festival. American Fork High School participated partici-pated in the Concert Band Festival in 2003, and in the Percussion Festival Festi-val in 2003 and 20005. Elder Carlson entered the Missionary Mis-sionary Training Center on March 15, 2006. Kevin J. Gooch Navy Seaman Recruit Kevin J. Gooch, son of Leeann Gooch of Castle Rock, Colo, and James L. Gooch of Lehi, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, 111. During the eight -week program, Gooch completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefight-ing, firefight-ing, water safety and survival, and shipboard. and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical physi-cal fitness. The capstone event of boor camp is "Battle Stations," which is designed de-signed to teach sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and endurance.
