W Richard La Monte Bennett, beloved husband, father and grand-. father, suffered a fatal heart attack on Jan. 2, 2006. He was born Nov. 8, 1929 in Lehi, Utah, to Clifford Clif-ford Crosby and Dorothy Carr Bennett. He married Shirley Hog-gard Hog-gard in the Salt Lake Temple on March 28, 1957. Dick served in the navy and was awarded several medals before his honorable discharge in 1952. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve in 1963 and was honored as the Outstanding Seabee of B Company and of the MCB-2 battalion in 1969. He retired in 1979. Dick was a master electrician and retired from Geneva Steel. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Japan and could still speak the language. He faithfully faith-fully fulfilled many church callings. but the one that was dearest to his heart was that of a home teacher. Dick will be remembered by family and friends for his ever-present tool box and ability to fix anything, for his extensive food storage jokingly call the "Bennett Store," and for his willingness to serve his fellow man. He loved his family, and though he will be missed, his influence will live on. How grateful we are for his legacy of love and service, and for the great privilege of having known him. He is survived by his wife and children, Kevin Bennett, Brett Bennett and Cindy Walker, 11 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 6 brothers. broth-ers. American Fork Cemetery where the VFW District 4 will have Military Rites. Paul Elden Sabin Paul Elden Sabin, 48, graduated from this life on December 30, 2005 at his home in Orem. Paul lived a valiant 3 12 years with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Scle-rosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease.) He found the most joy in his life with his family. fam-ily. He was very creative, optimistic and had a great sense of humor. Paul loved sports of all kinds. He was an avid runner, run-ner, completing 17 marathons and countless other iaces. The outdoors was a way of life for Paul; he loved the family cabin, camping, water sports, and snowmobiling. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, grandfa-ther, brother, uncle and friend. Paul was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many positions including the high council, bishopric, elders quorum and various vari-ous youth callings, all of which he loved. Paul was born on April 28, 1957 in Provo and graduated from Provo High School in 1975. He later attended at-tended UVSC majoring in Drafting and Design Technology in which he worked for several years. He then worked 22 years in management for BYU Dining Services. Paul married the love of his life, Gavlene Silver of Provo, on March 25. 1977 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife Gay-lene Gay-lene and children Scott (Shamae Terry) of Riverton: Sharley of Orem; Kristen (Wylin) Cummins of Payson; Eric, who is faithfully serving in the West Indies French Speaking Mission; and Alyson. Grandchildren Kelsie and Adalyn. Parents Elden and Cathirn Sabin of Provo and in-laws Ralph and Ruth Silver of St. George (formally of Provo.) Brothers and Sisters: Richard (Anna) of Layton; Marjean (Ron) Bleazard of Pasco, WA; Keith (Sue) of Orem: Kathy (Kim) Howell of Sandy; Carolyn (David) Jones of Sandy. Services are under the direction of SereniCare. Kevin Eugene Bullock Kevin Eugene Bullock, age 50. passed away Friday, December 30. 2005 at his home from complications complica-tions of cancer. He was born April 22, 1955 in Soda Springs, Idaho, a son of LaMonte and Iris Meacham Builock. He was the seventh sev-enth child of eight brothers (Kay, Dee, Cleve, Doyle, Barry. Glade, and Jeff). He was called to serve a mission in Bogata, Columbia in 1974-1976. He married Deborah Uilani Johnson on May 6. 1977 in the Provo LDS Temple. He was blessed with five children (Shantel. Natalie, Nathan, Zach, and Aaron), and three grandchildren (Keegan, Cooper, and Elle). He enjoyed working at the Orem Nursing Rehab and Developmental Center as a Registered Nurse. He also enjoyed fishing, coaching his sons, being with family, sports, watching movies, and playing rock music with his band, "Sojourn". Relationships that were important impor-tant to him were: 1) Following the spirit and developing a relationship with the Lord. 2) Being a good husband and good father. 3) Being a good friend in the service of those around him. 4) Using music to bless the lives of others. He was preceded in death by his father, and three brothers (Dee, Cleve, and Doyle). Funeral services will be held Friday, Fri-day, January 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the Lehi LDS Ward Chapel, 2150 North Point Meadow Drive (1940 West). Scott Doyle Chivers Scott Doyle Chivers, passed away Dec 24, 2005, at his home in Salt Lake City. Scott was born July 7, 1952, in Salt Lake City, to Lola Udell and Bobby Doyle Chivers. Scott grew up in Lehi in a home his parents built along Dry Dreek. The presence of this creek with its ample flow of water, provided pro-vided many hours of enjoyment for Scott and his siblings. He graduated from Lehi High School where he was active in student stu-dent leadership. Scott excelled in football and was an All-State football foot-ball athlete. He was awarded a football foot-ball scholarship and attended Dixie State College. He earned his Bach- elors and Masters degrees, with emphasis in Labor Relations from University of Utah. He worked for many years in the masonry field and was a business agent for the Bricklayer's Union. Scott was an avid fisherman and pursued this interest in-terest often. He also enjoyed reading read-ing and had an extensive library. He was a kind and gentle man who was well-loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Scott is survived by his son. Jay Dallas Rasmussen 1967 2005 Jay passed away peacefully at his American Fork, UT home of brain cancer 23 December 2005. He was born 22 September 1967 in Juneau, Alaska to James Dallas and Jeanne Oswald Rasmussen. Ras-mussen. Jay grew up in Valdez, AK, where he graduated as valedictorian. He went to BYU on a full-tuition scholarship. He served an faithful LDS mission to Melbourne, Australia. He married mar-ried Janette Amy Schmuhl in the Salt Lake LDS Temple 19 December 1992. His analytical mind helped him excel as a mechanical engineer. Jay's well-developed sense of hu mor was enjoyed by all who knew him. He was a devoted daddy whose gospel insights enriched the lives of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, sons James, Nathan, Andrew, Matthew, and Timothy, parents, brothers: Jeff (Heidi) and Aaron (Laurissa), and sisters: Tanya (Scott) Meyer and Julie (Tom) Riley. Jeremy Lyn Hall Jeremy Lyn Hall age 30, was called home unexpectedly January 3, 2006 as a result of a car accident. He was born in American Fork September Septem-ber 26, 1975 to Lyn and Rea Roberts Hall. He lived and attended schools in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. He married Sarah Abraham May 22, 1996. Jeremy had a great love for the outdoors and anything to do with nature. He had a remarkable connection con-nection to animals of all kinds.
