( ; I j W Li V 111 Nathan Siebach Audition notice VCP Auditions for "Best Christmas Pageant Ever" will be held Saturday, October 16, at 10:00 a.m.- 12 noon at the Valley Center Playhouse, 780 North 200 East in Lindon. Needed are 24 boys and girls, ages 8-13 and. 10 Mothers. Auditioners will be asked for a cold reading from the script. Those who sing may be asked to sing a song. All parts will be double casted. Performances will be held Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday 7:30 p.m. through December 22. Show starts November 26th. It will be directed by Barbara Higinbotham. LDS musician holding auditions Jenny Phillips, one of LDS music's most requested recording artists will be holding hold-ing vocal auditions to expand her touring fireside group Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Excel Entertainment from 1 1 a.m. to 2 p.m. Auditions are open to both vocalists and violinists from all Utah counties. Vocalists should be prepared to sing 90 seconds of an LDS song of their choice a cappella or with CD accompaniment. Violinists need to bring their instruments instru-ments and will be given music to play. As violinists also sing at the performances, they will be required to audition 60 seconds sec-onds of an LDS song. Those auditioning will be judged on performance quality and stage presence. Comprised of soloists, choir members and instrumental instru-mental musicians, the group tours throughout Utah and the western states presenting Journey Toward Zion, Jenny's fourth album. Members of the group can perform as few as twice a month or as often as desired. The theme-based production pro-duction includes video footage, inspiring narration, original accompaniment interspersed with musical numbers performed per-formed by Jenny and carefully selected soloists. The talentented cast consists of Ernie Brumwell, Kevin Hill, Bruce Chamberlain, Kaye Fugal, Kelly Garrison, Austin Chamberlain, , Modeline Watkins, Brian Chamberlain, Leslie Stott, Mike Black, Jana Nate, Pianist to Solo in Salt Lake City pianist Marjorie Janove will appear as guest artist in the opening concert of the Utah Valley Symphony's 47th season on Oct. 13 and 14. She will perform Robert Schumann's Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 54. The orchestra, under the baton of Bryce Rytting, will also play Dvorak's "Carnival" Overture and present its premiere performance of Brahms' Symphony No. 3 in F Major, Op. 90.
