In (iennany they had been through two world wars and had lost all of their earthly possessions. In America their life changed for the better. Dora worked as a Nurse for many years at the Utah State Hospital where she was loved and admired for the loving and gentle kindness she gave o the patients and to her associates. Her husband, Karl, worked at Geneva and after retirement operated a small lawn mower repair business from his home until he was eighty-five eighty-five years old. Dora and Karl worked hard and enjoyed the beautiful places in America. Each year they spent their vacations traveling trav-eling to almost every state. At 98 Dora is a very active lady. She enjoys such things as shopping every Friday, lunch every Thursday at Chuck-A-Rama, breakfast every Saturday at Golden Corral, dinner on Sunday's with her daughter's daugh-ter's family and a drive after. Every day she is up early and goes to bed early. She enjoys visits from her family and friends. Dora has two daughters, Christa Jensen 'Brent), of Hartselle, Alabama and Gisela Christopherson (Alan) of Orem. She has 16 grandchildren grand-children (Alan) of Orem. Scera and UVSC announce auditions for "Joyful Noise" SCERA and UVSC Theatre Department announce auditions for their production of "Joyful Noise," directed by James Arrington and playing November 11-20, 2004 in SCERA's Showhouse II in Orem. "Joyful Noise" is an original orig-inal musical by local Utah playwright Tim Slover that tells the heartwarming heartwarm-ing and dramatic true story of how George Fredric Handel's masterpiece master-piece "The Messiah" was written. Auditions will be held Tuesday, September 21 at 7:00 pm in Room Bl of the SCERA Center, 745 South State Street in Orem. Roles are available for mature men and women in their 40's who should prepare pre-pare a one-minute monologue mono-logue in a high-brow English accent. Also needed need-ed are two opera-singing sopranos in their 20's and 30's and these auditioners should prepare to sing 16 measures from an opera piece. An accompanist or boom box will be provided. Come to the Western Ho Down Dance at the Orem Friendship Center, at 93 North 400 East in Orem, Saturday, September 18 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Come dance in your Western Wear and Dance to the music of "Come Dance with Us." There will be door prizes and refreshments. Admission is $5.00 per person per-son and $4.00 for students with school I.D. cards. They dance every Saturday night with live bands so join. All are welcome, 18 and up, Western wear if possible.
