She was born September 13, 1912, to Thomas and Florence Bean Sumner in Provo, Utah. She married Homer R. Bandley on August 26, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Homer passed away on March 16, 1988. ;.. She was head librarian at the -Provo City Library from 1938-1941, and moved to Richfield in 1946 where she and Homer owned and operated Mr. B's Rainbow Cafe. She was an active member of the Richfield Rich-field Culture Club, and the Fireman's Auxiliary and Library Board. She was an active member of the IDS Church. Homer and Mali ne served an LDS Church mission, 1975-1977, in Saskatchewan, Canada. . Her family, children, and grandchildren were the center of her life. She is survived by her children: Karen(William) Barnes, Glennville, Georgia; Michal Joan Bandley, Orem, Utah; Helen Houghton, San Antonio, Texas; Richard (Becki) Bandley, Spanish Fork, Utah; and Nancy (Robert) Taylor, Springville, Utah; and by a sister, Florence Mildred Henrichsen, Orem, Utah; and a sister-in-law, Ann Stebbins, Henderson, Nevada. She also has 15 grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. great-granddaughters. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 20, 1997 at the Berg Mortuary. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. He was born January 29, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of James and Anna Bishop Houston. He married Myrle Dorothy Bult December 23, 1932 in Bountiful, Utah. The marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ( Survivors include his wife, Myrle of Orem; his sons, Ronald and Lori Houston, Rod and Nancy Houston, all of Orem; Robert Houston, Gaithers-burg, Gaithers-burg, Maryland; Roger and Kathy Houston, Folsom, California; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Ruth Wymer, Boise, Idaho. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 20, at 12 noon in the Orem City Cemetery, 1500 North 800 East, Orem. Ida Bean Craig Ida Bean Craig, 80, died May 12, 1997. She was the mother of Marilyn Sue (Susie) Craig of Orem. Raymond Wilson Raymond Wilson, 85, died May 10, 1997. He was the father of Elaine Johnson (R. Kay) of Orem. One of Orem's historic landmarks, the old Stratton home, located at 600 East and 800 North has been preserved and refiirbished as the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home. Since the completion in 1993 visitors have experienced experi-enced a unique part of Orem's past as they have strolled through the landscaped land-scaped grounds and enjoyed the historic architecture of the home. Jeffery Ray Sanderson Jeffery Ray Sanderson, 28, died May 9, 1997. He was the grandson of Bud and Gwen Sanderson of Orem. JeffR. Myers named All-American Scholar The United States Achievement Achieve-ment Academy recently announced an-nounced that Jeff R. Myers of Orem, Utah, has been named an . All-American Scholar. The USAA has established the All-American Scholar Award Program to offer deserved recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines. The All-American All-American Scholars must earn a 3.3, or higher, grade point average. Only scholars selected by a school instructor, counselor, or other qualified sponsor are accepted. These scholars are also eligible for other awards , given by the USAA. Myers, who attends Orem Jr. High, was nominated for this national na-tional award by Mr. Teuscher.
