Excel International Interna-tional in Springville. TEAM EFFORT Video productions are a team effort, Hansen emphasized, noting that he has made contacts, con-tacts, connections, and friends over the years in the media. While he does shooting, producing, produc-ing, and editing, he has specialists who do animation, audio, computer graphics, computer com-puter technology, multi-media, music (soundtracks and scores), writing, and everything else needed to complete the finished product. The specialized work can give the customer an advantage in pricing, Hansen said, because a client only pays for what he or she uses, versus paying for the overhead of a full staff. VIP can provide a full range of services, from a one-man crew taking a camera and shooting what is needed, to the services of a full crew. "They are all professional people working in their areas of expertise," he said. A company that does not have a video in some form is "behind the times", Hansen said, and will most likely lose credibility as well as sales. Businesses Busi-nesses are now sending out video catalogues, instruction and teaching materials, and business communications even memos. "It's an exciting business to be in," he commented. com-mented. "Everything we're doing is related to sight and sound image." Hansen has been in the television and video business since 1981. He spent ten years in broadcast TV, including work in California and Tennessee news operations, and at KBYU producing and directing sports and other projects. He has five years of experience in business and corporate production as well. VIP Media Group has been established since 1989, and will celebrate its third anniversary this spring at its Orem location, 77 South Mountainway Drive. The Orem facility includes an office and edit bay, an audio mixing room (which has produced CDs for local bands), a studio, and a narration booth (or voice-over room). An on-site digital audio workstation is the only one in the state with the capability of removing "bad" noise from recordings. For example, ex-ample, background noise can be removed from surveillance audiotapes from drug busts. Hansen keeps balance in his life by being a Hot Wheels collector. collec-tor. He got into the hobby as a child, and now has 1,200 cars in his personal collection. He is the president of the Salt Flats Hot Wheelers, the Utah chapter of the national Hot Wheels collectors' organization. Hansen termed the Cham ber TV effort "somewhat unique". uni-que". Although there are other chambers in the United States who do something similar, this type of chamber production is very rare," he said. Ideas from businesses and Chamber members mem-bers are welcome. The telephone number of VIP Media Group is 224-5210. V What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
