Show Jacobsen-Horrocks rites Thursday in LDS Temple Cindy Jacobsen of Orem and Cary Horrocks of Neola will be married mar-ried Thursday, June 11, 1987 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A reception will be held that evening even-ing from 7 to 9 at the Orem 6th Ward Cultural Hall. Attending the bride will be her sisters: Kim, Karrie, Robin and Lindsay Lind-say Jacobsen, and a sister of the groom: Denise Southerland. Groom's attendants will be his brothers: Bruce, Mike and Derick Horrocks, and brother-in-law Barry Southerland. Paul and Maraiba Jacobsen are parents of the bride. She is a graduate of Mountain View High School where she also was a seminary graduate and participated in ACapella Choir and Student Government. She is currently current-ly a senior at Utah State University majoring in English and Math. Blaine and JoAnne Horrocks are parents of the groom. He is a graudate of Union High School where he served as seminary president. He also is a graduate of Utah State University in Finance. He fulfilled a mission in the California Fresno Mission. Students take classes and have laboratoryhospital experience in both Salt Lake City and Provo. Flynn, a daughter of Edward and Florence Rich of Schenectady, N.Y., graduated from Schalmont High School where she was yearbook editor, president of the National Honor Society, president of the German Ger-man Club and graduated third in her class. She received a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from BYU in 1971 and a master's degree in health education there in 1973. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, was in the Honors Program at BYU and graduated cum laude. She and her husband Michael L. Flynn have six children. She is currently cur-rently working weekends as a licensed licens-ed practical nurse at Charter Canyon Hospital in Orem. Orem Branch AAUW holds open house The Orem branch of the American Association of University Women held an "Appreciation Open House" recently. The hostess was Vera Nielsen, who had served as branch coordinator for the Utah Division Divi-sion Convention held on May 8 and 9 on the campus of the Utah Valley Community College. The Orem Branch was the hostess branch for the 43rd Annual Convention. Appreciation was expressed for the members for the many assignments they had performed per-formed for the state activity. Letters of commendation were read from the AAUW leaders. Appreciation was also expressed to the college for the wonderful facilities and services.
